I was hoping for more information. There was a view to a bee hive and a video that we didn't watch, but mostly it was a store selling honey and honey products.

If you love honey like I do, then this place is heaven. They offer a wide range of honey variants and not just the ever popular manuka honey. Manuka was available but not so much the commercial types with UMF seals. After taste testing, I ended up buying three different kinds of honey and some facial care products. They also have... More

We went here on a rainy Taupo day, we thought the glass honey display would be good to see. But the display was quite small and most of the information was on a video which was informative but a bit too long to watch with a 2 year old. This is mainly just a shop rather than a tourist destination.

Our daughter was set on getting some Manuka honey to take back to the UK, so we went here. There was some information and quite a long film, which some of our party watched. We did buy honey from the well stocked gift shop - the aforementioned Manuka and some Honey Lemon and Ginger to make up drinks. We sampled... More

We popped in during the Easter weekend. The staff at the "honey tasting" are very helpful and knowledgable. Besides honey, many different honey and bee related products are available, including honey based liqueurs. There are also lots of other gifts, toys and hand/face creams available. You can also enjoy a light lunch and/or coffee from the coffee shop. On the... More

They are so many types of honey to be taste tested - my daughter managed them all. Staff are lovely and very helpful. So much to look at and great sample packs as it is just too hard to choose. Definitely on the revisit list next time we are there. There is much more than honey too!

While I, especially love all things honey, we both had a great time as this store. We also took time to watch a free video of the life cycle of a bee, which we really enjoyed. Great products to sample and purchase in the store and well worth working into you schedule if you are anywhere near here. Peter and... More
