This trip was fantastic. The skipper on the boat was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and the whole area. The boat goes right up under the falls, nothing else would get you this close, the whole trip was amazing. Free tea and coffee on board too if you feel like one. Great viewing platforms both at the front... More

My friend and I by a fluke saw the River boat from a viewing platform and both thought "Ooh we wanna do that" so off we went and sorted out where we had to go and gave Dave a call ( the river boat owner/driver) and we were set. We were greeted by Dave and welcomed aboard along with 10... More

Did this trip with friends and it was really nice . Tea and coffee on the boat . Interesting facts along route to Huka falls . Plenty of photo opportunities at the falls . On the way back we stopped in a small bay for a swim . Just beautiful . Recommend this to see the falls .

We did the Rapids first then the River Cruise which is timed perfectly to leave after the Rapids have finished. Simon was very informative which made the cruise more interesting. The best part was numerous attempts to take the boat closer to the falls.

We started the day by going to the Aratiatia dam to watch the gates lift to flood the gorge. The first lift of the day is at ten o'clock and there is another one at 12 midday. After this very impressive sight we walked back to the car park and booked our cruise to the falls, departing at 10.30 a.m.... More

Booking was easy and the girl even rang us back to say bring your togs. The boat driver, Dave was really helpful and informative. Talked about all the interesting things along the river and made the trip even worth worthwhile. We preferred the cruise over the jet boat as had done this in Queenstown and going fast in a gorge... I'll take this cruise over a jetboat, much more sedate and comfortable. It's a trick to find - it wasn't on my GPS - but once you do, you are in good hands. The cruise up to Huka Falls affords some nice photo opportunities, a chance to see some native wildlife and then you are at the base of the... More

From the moment we stepped aboard we knew we were onto a great thing. Simon was a delightful Captain and very informative. The cruise was sublime and comfortable with falls being an amazing feature. Highly recommended

This is a wonderful leisurely trip if you do not want the speed, adrenalin and soaking with the Huka Jet. Skipper Dave is so knowledgeable about the area, he pointed out flora and fauna, he knows where the trout are hiding and I am sure could answer any question you care to ask. The boat is big and comfortable with... More

We decided to do this river cruise and we weren't disappointed. Our Captain Dave was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and we enjoyed his commentary. You are taken right up close to the Huka Falls so get some great pics. Definitely a must do activity.
