From the moment we stepped aboard we knew we were onto a great thing. Simon was a delightful Captain and very informative. The cruise was sublime and comfortable with falls being an amazing feature. Highly recommended

This is a wonderful leisurely trip if you do not want the speed, adrenalin and soaking with the Huka Jet. Skipper Dave is so knowledgeable about the area, he pointed out flora and fauna, he knows where the trout are hiding and I am sure could answer any question you care to ask. The boat is big and comfortable with... More

We decided to do this river cruise and we weren't disappointed. Our Captain Dave was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and we enjoyed his commentary. You are taken right up close to the Huka Falls so get some great pics. Definitely a must do activity.

Skipper Simon was very personable in his approach to all onboard. Boat is comfortable enough for the 90 minute cruise to the Huka Falls. Safety is catered for and obvious from how Simon runs the cruise. Opportunity given to anyone wanting a quick swim and to get off half way through for a quick walk near a hot spring. Coffee... More

This is a great trip to get up close to the Huka Falls, you don't get to go right under them but you can get wet. Commentary on the cruise of the wild life and surroundings is awesome. My skipper was Simon, I would definitely try to get him, he made the trip fantastic.

We saw this cruise advertised online and are really pleased we went. Well organised operation. Informative and fun river cruise, the best part was getting close to the base of the falls, amazing scenery and wonderful photo opportunities. Really liked the way the captain did a number of circles up to the falls for the important photo opportunities! Very good... More

We decided to do the river cruise instead of the high speed jet boats. The trip up the river is quite leisurely and takes about 45 minutes with a commentary thrown in however this all changes as the boat cruises right up to the base of the Huka Falls. The boat does quite a few circles and backs as well.... More

My wife and I enjoyed this river cruise very much. All the coffee, tea or water you can drink. Bird life identification, crystal clear water to see the fish below. Interesting facts about the way this area was formed geologically. Very informative on the way there, but the fun starts when you get to the mouth of the falls. The... More

A gentle cruise down the river ,good informative and humorous commentary, watched the jet boats have their 35 minutes of fun but we actually got closer to the breathtaking waterfall ! Relaxing with free tea and coffee available on board. Would recommend

We took the Huka Falls River Cruise in Nov. We found this cruise family friendly and value for money. The guide has very good knowledge of the area and Huka Falls and gave an informative and interesting commentary during the ride to the Huka Falls and back. Taking the Huka Falls River Cruise, you can get very near to the... More
