Fantastic crew, informative, friendly, funny, did everything we wanted and more! Had the option of another boat but took this one, so pleased with our choice, saw much more than the other one offered. Even did some fishing with the most current stuff you can find anywhere.

Great fun! Took the family and enjoyed the ride. My son got to have a go at steering the boat. The views are stunning and the service was friendly.

This was a lovely way to spend an hour and a half on the lake. We got to see the modern rock carvings and a long way along the edge. Sadly, it was cloudy for us and we couldn't see the volcanoes in Tongariro but if it was clear you would have a lovely view. The homemade muffin was excellent!

We were supposed to be going on a 2hour scenic boat trip of traditional Maori cravings on a Rock face in the lake. We got an average boat trip. With little to no activity. We arrived at the "ancient" carvings which were at most 30years old. So it is certainly not worth the trip not the money.

We were here on a Sunday morning and took the Scenic Cruise that departed at 10.30am. The weather was nice, sunny, bright with cooling sea breezes and was comfortable. We enjoyed the 1hr 45mins cruise as it brought us to various locations of the crater, as big as the island of Singapore where we are from. The cruise was smooth... More

Went to the Mine Bay carvings, nice cruise, little bit choppy but fine with us. Boat was very quiet so Pete said he might pull in to fish on way back. I told him my son had been dying to fish, so he said he would try if we had time. Sure enough he did - and my son caught... More

Would have given 8 stars if there were any scoring of that nature.. Was allowed to board even though I was 10 minutes late , thanks to Ms Jolly's intervention in calling the Skipper Pete... The trip presents spectacular views of lake Taupo, the snow capped Mt Ruapehu and adjoining mountains and hills. Lovely blueberry muffins greet your way in... More

It was a cloudy morning hence the views were not great. Nevertheless, we enjoyed this lake cruise on cruise cat. The boat itself was fine and steady. They bake the muffins for morning tea. Commentary was very good. Maori rock carvings (although not from historic times) was a good site and due to the cloudy weather, was the only real... More

Took a nice boat ride on the lake on a beautiful afternoon. The boat is well equipped but there is not much outdoor space, which matters when the weather is very good. While it was a relaxing trip, we didn't find it particularly exciting. Spent at least a half hour trying to catch a trout. Nothing special, although the views... More
