Incredible views and lovely soaking pools! A very unique experience with the source of hot water on site. A lovely day!

I often go there with the wife, it is a lovely quiet place, and the amenities are able and enjoyable. The place is clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. It is awe inspiring to see the way the boiling water cascades into the place from the mountain!

This place is one of my favourite spots. There are a range of pools with different temperatures and depths. Perfect for the whole family. We went through on a school camp with 28 students. It was lovely The only negative at the place is the cost. At $15 an adult and $8 per child it is expensive and the 'local... More

During our campervan trip around NZ we decided to stay the night at these hot pools. They had been reccomended to us from the tourist info in Taupo and I'm seriously glad we took them up on their advice. Access to the hot pools was included in our campsite price for the night which worked out to be amazing value.... More

This attraction, albeit a good few kms. out of Rotorua, is a must! Our advice, if you can, is go out of season (we went March) and early in the morning. We arrived at 0930, having pre booked, - probably not really necessary - and then set off down into the valley on our own, undisturbed for the full length.... More

Stopped here after visiting Rotorua and whilst slightly off the beaten track is well worth the visit. We had a private spa pool first then went and used the main pools and thought what a great way to spend a morning - really relaxing. Even though it was a Sunday it was quiet with never more than another couple in... More

Great place to go and warm up in winter. You can take food along or eat in the small café there. Lots of pools to choose from and never seems to be over crowded. Lots of locals go here so it must be good!

With Fall in the air and the evenings getting a little brisk it is a perfect way to catch a hot soak and an early meal and head home to snuggle in for the night. It is a popular place for tourists - so my advise is to avoid the holiday weekends. But definately give it a go!

Lying in a thermal pool was not for me or so I thought. My wife wanted to come here and as the campervan driver I had no choice. Once there, however, I enjoyed it immensely. The pools are very relaxing (although one spell was ruined by loud, chattering Chinese with no respect for peace and quiet). The pools are at... More

These thermal pools are a short drive out of Rotorua. We went one weekday morning and they were not at all crowded. They are obviously used by locals as well as tourists. There is a choice of pools at different temperatures to relax in. You don't come here to swim but just to sit around and enjoy the experience of... More
