Neon green pools, bubbling mud, and steaming lakes were some of the most unusually beautiful landscapes I've ever seen. Definitely worth the $35 entrance fee. But skip the Lady Knox geyser- they induce it to erupt with soap and glycerin. Instead go see the geysers at Te Puia which are more impressive and erupt naturally.

We enjoyed a great day at the Thermal Wonderland. We started off at the Lady Knox Geyser which was just spectacular. Lots of great photo opportunities. We found the briefing very interesting. The thermal wonderland was a great day out and well worth the admission fee. The staff were lovely, a particular mention to Julie on the ticket counter who was so knowledgable and friendly, always makes you want to stay when there is great customer service!

There's not a lot of places in the world that can boast beautiful, colourful geothermal activity that you can get SO close to. And trust me, you get pretty close! The fact that this area is completely natural just boggles my mind. From bright orange, steaming pools to lime green lakes, the sights are just astounding! I highly recommend it,... More
