We went on a Saturday and were expecting it to take 3 hours (we bought 7 luge plus Skyswing), we took 5 hours and still had two luge rides left that we did not have time to use. By 4ish it was getting really cold as well. Queues all day made it a pretty miserable experience, but the luuge ride... More

Long queues to access the gondola, the staff are very efficient so wait time is not to bad. The ride up is fantastic with stunning views and a much less bumpy ride than I had expected, when you get to the top there is more to do than i first thought. Large restaurant with several area's and different levels of dinning.... More

nice picture risqué views are a dime plenty in NZ. if your a tourist, yes this is the place to go. If your from rural NZ, well, you know your backyard probably has a huge mountain with rivers waiting for you.

YES ....one luge ride is not enough....as the first is on the beginners run..... need 5 min to really enjoy .... The only problem was the " young female tourist" that did not know what they were doing and quite dangerous when they stop and get out of the cart around corners etc...... Over all great fun .... View of... More

I have never seen the Luge rides which are one of the main attractions at Skyline. My wife and I went to Skyline to ride the cable car to the top of the mountain for the view. However, while there we decided to try the Luge rides. What a fantastic thing to do! Gravity driven cars on gently (and sometimes... More

nice view. The café has a weird set up. We tried to order a tea and coffee from the tea and coffee counter but couldn't. We had to go elsewhere and pay and I think order (I had lost the will by then) then wait 20 mins for them to bring the wrong order

Always such a quiet ride up the sky lift and then racing down on the luge is all part of the fun . Great day out for the family!

Love that luge! Such good fun. We went in the pouring rain this time - no queues! Gondola trip up amazing as always. Warmed ourselves up with hot chocolates afterwards.

Once you get to the top, the views are stunning. Well worth it. The Luge lines can be long, but it's a whole lot of fun to go down.

The Luge turned out to be the best moment of our 9 day trip around the North Island. It is great fun. Easy to learn. You're an expert after one ride down. But yeah as the say, one ride is never enough. Expensive though for a daddy paying for the whole family. But it was worth the fun we had.
