Went to kiwi wildlife park on a Monday it is definitely not the best day to go as they only do the 11:30 bird show. Had the park to ourselves and really helpful and knowledgeable keepers. Water log rode was fun but don't think it was worth the $40 dollars entry.

Thank you for your review. Great to hear you enjoyed our Kiwi Encounter and sponsored a kiwi. We love our sponsors and it definitely helps us in the work we do here to hatch over 100 kiwi chicks annually. Thanks again. More

This was a beautiful place that felt like a primordial forest with giant redwoods and ferns overhead. But mostly, it was a chance to see some of New Zealand’s more exotic wildlife; namely kiwi birds, tuatara lizards, and kea parrots from the south island, as well as other birds and animals. The kiwi enclosure was nice, but you couldn’t get... More

Thank you for your review. How great that your guide was also American and could show you some of the many endangered animals we display in the park. Our guided tours give a great overview of everything the park has to offer and perhaps next time you visit you can stay longer to enjoy the park at night, ride the... More

Jenny our Kea is an entertainer, we are very pleased to hear that she was the highlight of your visit. Our guides do provide a unique insight into the flora and fauna in the park and we are very proud of the work we do here to help some of New Zealand's endangered species. Thanks for your review! Rainbow Springs had always been a great place to visit. As a local we usually go at least once or twice per year and it just gets better and better. The introduction of the bird show is awesome and something long overdue in New Zealand.

It is excellent to hear that you are local and a regular visitor - I do hope that you have invested in one of our Annual Passes so that you can come even more often than twice a year. Our Bird show, along with the Big Splash and the scheduled animal experiences in the park has been a welcome addition... More

Family spent the morning here. The park itself is very nice...clean, nice exhibits. The "dinosaur" ride was just laughable for my teens. The best part was we had arranged a private Kiwi Encounter Tour which allowed us to see and learn behind the scenes about the iconic endangered bird...definitely worth the extra fee.

Hello there, Thank you very much for taking the time to post your thoughts, and for taking our behind the scenes Kiwi Encounter tour. It is a fantastic addition to a Rainbow Springs ticket and you come away with an excellent understanding about how unique our kiwi are, and what we are doing to help save them. I am interested... Awesome morning out. Spent 3 hours exploring beautiful scenery which was so imaculatly presented. The playground had a great mix for all ages and the big slash added an extra thrill of adventure. Well with the time and money.

Took 2 kids (5 and 3 years). Started off looking at the trout and feeding them, then in with the Keas etc. Then to the Kiwi house where we saw 2 (amazing, never see them at the Zoo). Finally went on the big splash ride. Doing it this way is great, you start with the more educational and finish with... More

Although park is nicely appointed , paths and foliage all very beautiful. I was dissapointed with the small amount to see- there is a variety of birdlife there, its basically some native birds, a few parrots and trout. The kiwi house was good , lots of information to read, and conservation efforts are admirable...but the park itself. for the price....... More
