I love parks, zoos, etc but I've never seen so much fish in one, ever. It's still a great place to visit. Seen animals I didn't knew existed. Kiwi is the main attraction. Never knew they were so tiny. Sponsored one as they are highly endangered. The park is gorgeous & well looked after. Even has a little log ride.... More

Purchased tickets from their website a couple of weeks prior to arriving in Rotorua and surprised that kids were free over the Easter school holidays. Paid the extra $10 per adult donation for the "kiwi experience" and it was well worth the behind the scenes tour of the egg hatchery and kiwi raising facility. Stunningly beautiful place to wonder around... More

We went mainly to see the Kiwi. They're nocturnal and timid so if you go after 5pm you can see some of the other birds before it gets dark at a discounted price. A hint for seeing the Kiwi. Wait for just on dark and wait quietly. We were the only ones there for 15min when one came out and... More

This is a very 'manageable' way to experience some NZ wildlife for visitors who are on a limited-time visit or who have very young or elderly members of their group - i.e. those who won't get a chance to do much bush-walking or have little outdoor experience. There are many attractions in NZ which have 'kiwi houses' where you can... More

We arrived at the park and went straight to our behind the scenes look at the Kiwi conservation program. This was a fantastic experience and our guide was great. We got to see a 2 hour old chick in a incubator and a slighter older chick being weighed by the vets. After the behind the scenes tour we went to... More

This has to be on your visit list. The rainforest like environment is gorgeous, seeing the wildlife that you wont see anywhere else is a highlight. The Kiwi Nocturnal house is precious and it was wonderful to spot these gorgeous little pom poms on legs. Please support this wonderful place and you must add it to your itinerary.

I loved this place. So much to see and such a beautiful place to walk around. Loved the waterfall ride with the Dinosaur park. Great place for people of all ages. The staff were very friendly too.

We had a very interesting walk around the park led by a guide. We saw kiwis and learned about the silver fern, the two primary symbols of New Zealand.
