From the amazing falls to the beautiful plant life and birds this is an amazing experience. We regretted only having a short time to visit as apparently there was so much more we could have done including water experiences. We did see a Kiwi egg hatching and a new born Kiwi being medicated... all very exciting. The photo they took... More

We did this as part of a 'great sights' tour and it was fantastic. Our tour guide was amazing. Enthusiastic and a great knowledge of the venue and its residents. The hour we had covered most of the park and we all enjoyed it.

I was hesitant to go here just because I didn't want to pay entry fees to see Trout. But so pleased we did, had a lovely 2.5 - 3 hours there. We took sandwiches and found a picnic table by the playground / cafe for lunch, then had a wander around. Really lovely setting. The Big Splash ride was definite... More

Took my 12 year old for a walk around the park. Haven't been here for a long time but still just as good as I remember. We took the behind the scenes tour for the Kiwi's too which was fascinating learning about how the Kiwi are reared and taken back into the wild. Awesome place for keeping our native and... More

This is a great place too meres yourself in a whole lot of things "Kiwi". You can see the kiwis in their special dark house, other kiwi birds, tuatara, huge Rainbow trout and signposted paths kept cool by the incredible flora. The best thing ( in summer) is the Big Splash. It is a water ride that gives you a... More

Took my two teenage boys for a visit and they loved it! Was great walking around and following the paths, reading all the info. Chatted to Jenny the Kea, loved it. We watched the gecko's for ages as they caught flies! And seeing the kiwi - what a thrill. Watched the bird show, fascinating. Went on the log ride and... More

I wasn't sure about this attraction but wanted to see the Kiwi's. It turned out to be a nice day out. The Kiwi's were great but your ticket allows you to return at night when you if you are patient and quiet you get in very close contact with these shy birds, although you have to return at about 9 pm... Nice way to spend a few hours. Staff friendly. Interesting to see all the animals. It's not a cheap option to entertain the family though!
