In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa. « less

A brilliant way to spend an evening. Great opening hours. Good value for money in the adult pool although some customers weren't adults! Some pools were too hot for us but a very relaxing place. Would highly recommend!

We decided to go for the more exclusive "Lake spa" option, price x 2= 86$nz The pools are nice but unfortunately our experience was not good because the main pool was full of chinese(?) people with babies screaming and diving like if it was a fun park rather than a spa. "Lake spa" option was presented as a quieter place... More

We paid a visit to the spa on a rainy morning. We had treatments booked at the same time the Polynesian Spa Mud Polish & Aix Massage, spending an hour or so in the thermal pools before hand. The facilities are luxurious and picturesque, the Priest acidic spa pool was great for arthritis and the alkaline pools were heavenly with... More

We booked the special massage of the month which was a coconut lime Aix massage without really knowing what we had signed up for. So glad we did because it turned out to be the best massage experience I have ever had! For the first part of the treatment you are scrubbed and exfoliated with a lime scrub. Then they... More

Actually we expected the place to be more special and especially less dirty. If I want to be one of the top spas in the world I have to take care that everything is shiny and new. In some parts this wasn't the case. I would recommend to book a private deluxe spa to enjoy stunning views of the city... More

A really nice and luxurious spa. In the evening lots of busses arrive, so if you have the option, please visit in the morning. They have different pools with different temperatures, all overlooking the lake. Very relaxing.

Being tight with money, we were dubious whether to pay the £27 fee for 30 mins for a private deluxe spa. Plus money for towels. This was more than worth it. I recommend you go before bedtime rather than in the morning. All we wanted to do was sleep afterwards.

What a find! We really enjoyed our soak in the mineral pools, and found the outlook across the Lake surreal! A photographers dream.

I was gifted a mud massage and private spa session at the Polynesian Spa for my 40th! I felt so privileged as this was my first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish I was made to feel like a V.I.P! The beauty therapist was completely aware of my needs and showed a genuine understanding of... More
