The village comes alive with sights, sounds & activity of days gone by including haka, poi, tattooing, weaving, carving and arts of warrior training. Great night out in Rotorua. Best cultural experience I've ever had. Caters well for large groups, allowing you to feel intimate and personal still. Free hotel pick up to the Tamaki Village. Lots of entertainment and delicious food throughout the night. Fun and informative, making it most enjoyable. Very well presented and attention to detail. This tour came highly recommended... More

From the moment we were collected at the Hotel reception by bus we were immersed in Maori Culture. The bus driver (a Maori) regaled us with Maori tales. The challenge by the warriors and the welcome by the Chief on our arrival were enthralling. The Introduction to the various Maori crafts and Cultural activities were very well done and the Hangi... More

We took part in this evening experience during late June. We both had an awesome night, our bus driver Darren was an absolute riot! Fantastic sense of humour, informative and friendly - he ensured we had a great trip to and from the village itself. Upon arrival we were welcomed onto the premises in a traditional way, and were shown... More

This village show was quite good as was the hangi and haka demonstrations. They picked us up at the hotel and made our bus a waka and we chose a chief who represented our group at the ceremonies which started off our tour with a haka. I got to do some of the activities as did my students and it... More
