The hangi meal (potato, sweet potato, carrot, lamb, chicken) is delicous. The meat is very tender and spices are great. The whole experience is very interesting culturally and there is lots to learn about the maori.

My husband and I traveled here in June for an evening show and we were not dissapointed. Very friendly staff who are so informative of the Mauri Culture. If you are going to see a cultural show while in New Zealand, it should be this one!

I highly recommend this Maori cultural experince - perfect for all ages. It was fun to get involved with the tasks and the concert was highly entertaing. And to top off a fantastic evening, the buffet meal (cooked in a hangi) was out of this world!! A MUST DO!!!! Sarah & Charlie (Urban Retreat)

The Tamaki experience is one not to be missed. The people are sincere and genuine about their culture and have not compromised it for the sake of tourism. Highly recommended. The hangi food is just so tasty. We went a second night we were so impressed.

This is definitely recommended for visitors to Rotorua. The trip from beginning to end was wonderful! Our bus driver (Mark) was great and very funny! Everyone loved him! The village was well built with educational purpose. There is definitely a lot of thought and heart being put into this attraction. Wonderful experience! Thank you!

From the moment we were collected at the Hotel reception by bus we were immersed in Maori Culture. The bus driver (a Maori) regaled us with Maori tales. The challenge by the warriors and the welcome by the Chief on our arrival were enthralling. The Introduction to the various Maori crafts and Cultural activities were very well done and the Hangi... More
