The show was great. Everyone was picked up from their accommodation and driven to the maori village. There the maori culture was introduced and you could take photos all the time which was great. I didn't like the dinner so much (didn't got any spices or salt in it) but in the end there was many different options to eat... More

We were hesitant to go to one of these cultural experiences thinking it would be a tourist trap. However, we greatly enjoyed the thought and organization that went into this evening. The sharing of Maori traditions, the entertainment, and the meal were all excellent. Would recommend this adventure!

Attended the Maori Cultural Hangi tour in late October. Our guide explained the history and traditions of the Maori people. The tour is met at the entrance of the village by a "reception committee as shone on the picture. Once in the village the tours are divided and routed to different stations where the activities of the stations are explained,... More

Decided to visit this place after reading the reviews though it's abit pricey. But it is really worth going! They are interactive and entertaining. We know more on the Maori Culture and we exceptionally love the songs that they sang! After all the show, there is a buffet dinner served. The variety is not a lot but all are freshly... More

An excellent night out. We were picked up from our motel by a friendly bus driver who made us feel welcome immediately. Once we arrived at the grounds we got to experience a welcoming ceremony. We were then broken into small groups and lead around the village. This was the only downside of the village, you only got to experience... More

This experience really gives a flavour of Maori life....both in terms of history, crafts, lifestyle and of course dancing and the Haka! Very well organised from start to finish...and the meal is certainly a fitting end to the evening!

We had an incredible night at the Tamaki Maori Village. Everything about it was great...the food, the entertainment and the cultural insights. The whole thing was WELL worth the money and I would highly recommend it to anybody who is considering going on this trip. The bus ride home was such a laugh, I can't remember the last time I...
