It had been very wet the few days before our trek and very foggy on the drive there, but sunny and bright when we arrived. Having been on horse treks before we were surprised at the lack of organization and the fact we were allowed to walk around the horses before the trek began. The tracks were very wet and... More

This place has it all. Amazing scenery, beautiful well cared for horses, comfortable saddles. The guides cater to all capabilities within the group and there are opportunities to go faster if you want to. Lucy and her team clearly love what they do and this is apparent in how great the treks are. I'll definitely be back for another trek!!

went there wanting to experience a longer trek than the one we did in queenstown at walter peak.Trek doesnt disappoint through rolling farmland, up the mountain and overlooking the lake all the time escorted by a very friendly dog. Highlight for my wife was the galloping downhill and also herding the sheep towards the end of our trek.

Really enjoyed the 90 minute trek. Having not been on a horse before the guides made everything so simple.the staff here are extremely friendly, chatting all the way throughout the tour. We were unfortunate to have a misty day which spoiled the views from the top of the hill but still a lot of fun and highly recommended. thanks Kat... More

Great trek for first timers, the staff are excellent and very friendly and so were the horses. Ran a little overtime so I recommend you don't have a tight schedule that day.

Really enjoyed Horse trekking Lake Okareka. Great trekking through the bush and up to a spot on the farm where we had a spectacular view. I grew up on a farm with horses and really miss riding. Loved the opportunity to go over the farm amongst the stock. Even though there were unexperienced riders in our group their were enough... More

The scenery at Lake Okareka was beautiful, a real hidden gem in NZ. The horses were gorgeous, as well as a little bit cheeky, which made for lots of fun along the way. Lucy and her team were accommodating and confident with leading the group and was a pleasure to ride with them. Thanks guys!

Beautiful location and views over the lakes, we went on a rainy day and still had an amazing time. The horses are beautiful and the staff are very helpful and experienced riders were given the opportunity to go a bit faster if they wished, which I loved! We were given wet weather gear on the day and we stayed dry... More
