This was the best thing we did in Rotorua, if not in New Zealand. This place is not only cheaper than most other treks in New Zealand (especially around Queenstown), but also better. Scenery is stunning. Owners are incredibly friendly. They treat the horses so well, and it is obvious in how well mannered they are. If you have ridden... More

I grew up with horses and wanted to get back in the saddle on my vacation. My boyfriend and I had a great experience. All the horses are healthy and well-kept, something you don't find at a lot of trekking barns in the US. This was my boyfriend's second time ever riding, but he felt totally comfortable and in good... More

We had a great time on out two hour ride. The crew and horses were friendly and safe. There was an option of cantering and trotting with no pressure on those who did not want to do either. The horses were not bored and old. They all had names and the crew could describe their personalities! My daughter(10) and I... More

On a drizzly day we headed to Rotorua, on our way we decided we might like to take the kids horse riding - after looking at all the lovely comments on Trip Advisor we chose this riding ranch. We were greeted with a lovely phone manner and all was booked. On arrival the ladies were welcoming and we found the... More

My 8 yr old daughter and I went on a 2hr ride with Lucy and her team mid-March and had a fantastic experience. As a former equestrian, I was able to see that the horses were very well kept and the tack (including helmets) was in top condition. Lucy escorted my daughter on a lead line so both my daughter... The only thing that our girls, aged 7 and 9, wanted to do was horse ride. What an adventure we had. Wonderful scenery, lovely people and just the right amount of excitement. We'll be back! Thanks Lucy and team

I really enjoyed this trek even though we got rained on near the end. The horse I was on was so relaxed. I was nervous at first, but started to enjoy the ride when I relaxed a bit more! I also found the instructions from the guide behind me very helpful. Thanks to everyone

Lucy and her crew were just fabulous. We were all assigned horses according to our pre discussed ability as riders. The trek was over 1 .5 hours over rolling grass/farmland which afforded stunning views of lakes and mountains. A fabulous way to spend the morning.
