We paid for a two-hour trek that ended up being about three hours! In that time we covered everything from a narrow, rugged and rocky steep sloping track to picturesque, rolling green hills. The view of the surrounding landscape once you get to the top is absolutely amazing and breathtaking (and unmatched anywhere else as you're on private property). I... More

I went out on a three hour trek with just Lucy and three guides for company, and I really couldn't fault the experience. Superb views, multiple canter/gallop spots and getting to ride bitless made this one of the best rides I had in New Zealand!

The staff were very friendly & happy to chat with us. They have beautiful well looked after horses. The trek was over interesting tranquil terrain which is much nicer than going through boring paddocks that's for sure. I will definitely be heading back there someday.

First time on a horse for me and my wife and the experience was superb! Even though it rained a little, the views were still stunning as we took the 1.5 hour ride to the top of the hills. Dex was my companion of the day and he was a breeze to ride with.

This is a fantastic horse-riding experience, with friendly and skilled staff to take care of you throughout the ride. We trekked through a variation of landscapes, passing through lush vegetation, along undulating farmlands where sheep and their spring lambs graze under the oak trees. As we edged further up, we began to feel the impact of the stunning vista, the... More

Riding through stunning New Zealand scenery for over 1 1/2 hours - the whole experience left me totally relaxed like having an amazing massage! Guides were superb and very friendly. Totally recommend those guys - thank you!

I've just done the 1 1/2 hour trek at Horse Trekking Lake Okareka with my friend and we still have a smile on our faces. The trek itself is absolutely beautiful through NZ bush up the hill with stunning views over the lakes. The girls looked well after us and were really friendly and funny. I've done a bit of... More
