Don't miss this! Rain or shine (and mine was soaking downpours), this place can not be missed. They have 2km, 3.5km and many other length hikes. The natural beauty has me speechless.

Literally a scene out of a movie. We came here for a morning run, and the gorgeous redwoods made for one of the best experiences ever. There's really something about the way these majestic giants tower all over you as you run, deep in thought - it feels like there's no one else in the world. Definitely worth a visit,... More

Me and my girlfriend took a stroll in this stunning, old forest during a day with calm but quite cold weather. As a swede, I don't get the chance to see old forests with spectacularly high trees, due to our climate and soil in the north. This was really a beautiful experience. We had cloths and gear for running, and... More

Well marked trail options through fantastic redwood forest just outside of downtown Rotorua. You are immediately embraced by the forest so you get the sense you are miles away in the wildness in a world of your own. You can stroll or power walk on any of the trail choices. Very spiritual place!

We took some of the smaller walks this day because of logging in some of the longer tracks. Still the big redwoods and the general scenery was amazing and gave us a great memory of something in Rotorua that doesn't smell of sulfur and rotten eggs :-)

I was so impressed with this place - it's a beautiful, serene forest with huge trees the likes of which you don't usually see in the Southern Hemisphere. It's a great place to wander around for a while, and best of all, it's free! There are lots of paths, and you can walk as far as you like. I was... More

Redwoods was one of the places that always have me in awe. This was my second time visiting this place and the forest looks and feels just as amazing. The tracks are fun and peaceful during non-peak hours. Just be sure to avoid large tour groups, gets a little crowded. All in all, it's a good way to pass the day... More
