I love going to the Redwoods for a 20-40 minute walk every week, there are so many tracks. The bush smells great and it is very clean, there is even a dog walk if you have or have not a dog, you can still walk through it and come across friendly dogs on your walk to pat if you are... More

Redwoods are absolutely beautiful trees. If you anyway appreciate them it's definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately the longer walks, the longest is 6-8 hours, were closed for some reason so longest walk is only an hour but that takes in the main Redwood section which is really the main attraction of this forest.

This park has many developed trails, along with mountain biking trails. We hiked the Pohaturoa Track, which is about 7.5 km and has a lot of diversity: there are shady forested areas, boardwalks, open areas. There are great overlooks of the Pohutu and other geysers near the Tamaki Maori Village, as well as views of Lake Rotorua and the city.... More

We went for a short 1 hr hike on a rainy day. One of the best things we did in Rotorua. Have seen better redwoods in California, but it was still nice. There is a small pond with some kind of high-sulfur (or something?) water that makes it miraculously clear. Looking into that pond was even a little eerie, but... More

Not sure what I was expecting but the magnificent Redwoods with the amazingly coloured streams & pools were wonder to walk around. I only did the 1 hour track (arrived late afternoon) but definitely recommend spending more time here to do one of the longer trails. A peaceful & awe inspiring place with wonderful photo opportunities. You immediately forget you... More

We had a splendid day hiking around the redwoods. The staff at the office were nice and helpful recommending tracks for us to take. Really is a nice day out and those trees are BIG!

A stop at the end of our day allowed our group a chance to get some exercise in beautiful surroundings. Well worth the visit. Interesting to note that the shop was significantly more expensive than another tourist stop we had made.
