Walking through the Redwood Forest has to be one of the most peaceful and relaxing things ever. The feeling of being at one with the forest is unavoidable- I go there regularly.

We spent an excellent afternoon here walking with the Giants. We did the redwood memorial grove track and half of the quarry lookout track (we got to the lookout then walked back the way we came). The lookout was spectacular over lake Rotorua and well worth the climb, it had been raining recently so the path up the steps was... More

For a gentle stroll or a full on hike - you can't do better than this lovely forest. Trails for different types of fitness and all the time you are in lovely redwoods. Not too strenuous for the less fit but definitely worth the while.

There's even a coffee shop at the bottom of the hill and a bus to take you to the top, unfortunately only runs weekends, publis holidays and some evenings in summer. Rotoruas is a great place to... Wonderful forest to visit and spend time in, the denseness of the trees is amazing, and they are just so tall and majestic

This is a must in Rotorua. If you like to be at one with nature then take one of the many trails and walk in this beautiful forest. Kick up the autumn leaves and be at one.
