We almost didn't do this tour. The advertising pictures of people with duck bills in their mouths and the cost of $65 each for 90 minutes put us off. But, we did want to see the Lakes and we had limited time, so we went for it. I'm so glad we did. Our guide was great. Funny, friendly and extremely... More

Cheesy fun, and a nice way to get out and see some of the nearby lakes while hearing about local history. Our driver was informative and fun, and we saw some beautiful scenery. Best to call them directly to book, and note that the tour starts at the big I-Site on Fenton Street, not at the booking office a few... More

Hello Thank you for your response regarding the tour. It sounds like your experience when on the Duck was a good one which is great. The store experience though not so good. We share this store with another Rotorua operator and it sounds like you were told to go to the other attractions departure which was for 4pm. This obviously... More

A great fun trip with a most informative guide. The duck was great fun on land and just as good on the lakes. Highly recommend it

My family loves the Duck boats and have taken a few of our overseas visitors on them as well. Every trip is unique and each time we learn something new. My kids favorite trip was during school holidays when they got to drive the Duck on Blue Lake. Grant (one of the drivers) let one of them put on the... More

Well what a surprise we got !this looked interesting we thought !a floating yellow bus called a duck , grant the driver / text book of knowledge / comedian took us to some very nice places and shared some good laughs along the way like when he said we'd have to get out and push the duck up a hill... wow what can I say:) my son was going to have a major operation, we thought we would go on the rotorua duck tour ,, and thought this would take his mind off the operation, so with our 5 children ages ranges from 2 to 21 , we hopped on the duck one sunny day, ( loaded with our quack... More

We went on this tour purely by chance. My husband had seen these bus/boats ( ducks) driving around Rotorua & wanted to see what they were about. So we did. We went to the visitors info centre & booked a 2 lake tour which was around $65. Each. Wow, New Zealand's tourist attractions are expensive. Anyhow, it was a good... More

Our guide was great. Ducks are fun anyway, but the scenery (two lake stops) and the commentary from our guide made this well worth while. A great way to get out of Rotorua and see a little bit of the countryside.
