The duck boat tour is for all ages, with the duck whistles you need to enjoy joining in and making lots of noise!! It was a great way to see Rotorua and the lakes - we visited Blue Lake and learned lots from the guide about the area around the town that we would not have known if we had... More

This trip is well worth the money, if only for the banter and repartee. The guides local knowledge is enormous. The details of the local Maori culture was impressive as well as the local folk law.

We went on the City and Lakes tour and were fortunate enough to have Ngata as our driver and guide. He told us some history, a few stories, a few jokes and encouraged us to quack with our duck callers! Definitely worth doing early in your stay to get your bearings in the city.

Great fun and informative tour of either the city or lakes. I did the lake tour finding out all about the various superstitions and factual info regarding Mt Tarawera. I'd recommend this tour to anyone arriving in the city and wants a brief intorduction to the city and/or surrounding area for quacking great fun at any age!

We departed from Rotorua museum on the "Duck" complete with our duck whistles! Our guide was informative & had a great sense of humour and you get the feeling he really enjoys his job. The day was awesome, really great weather, amazing scenery and a rare opportunity to "ride in" a machine from NZ's bygone era.

This was fun for all ages. Grant our Tour guide made this very interesting with duck whistles for everyone so we could entertain the people in the streets. The views of the city and lakes were fantastic and the commentary by Grant was interesting and included alot of jokes and historical stories of the area. This is a must do... More

Had a lovely afternoon out on the Duck, the lady I rang to book with was very helpful. Our guide, Grant, was great, barely stopped talking, and 99% of it was fascinating information, the rest was fun jokes, and very good tunes with the duck whistle! I'd happily recommend doing this, especially if you are here without transport as you... More

Pete was an amazing Guide. So funny and informative. He really made everyone feel welcome and join in. Was amazing to be travelling on land one minute learning about the history of Rotorua and then 15 mins later being in the middle of the lake, without even getting out of our seat. Got given some fun duck whistles to blow... More
