This was a great way to see and learn about Rotorua and its surrounding lakes. Our driver (Austin?) was very funny but also provided lots of interesting information about Rotorua and the duck boat. We went in three lakes- it was pretty cold in July but there were blankets provided.

We really enjoyed our "Duck Tour of the Lakes" with a friendly and informative driver. A little off the beaten track and something a bit different which appealed.

A great trip with a very informative and amusing driver. My 4 year old (who loves buses) absolutely loved it especially when he was able to get behind the wheel.

We learnt very little about Rotorua and far too much about the vehicle we were in. Not an informative tour with very little sight seeing except for the 3 lakes. We hoped to see more of the thermal springs and Maori history. Learnt a lot about local real estate too. A very poor tour, the only upside was the driver... More

This was included in our EF tour and I am so glad it was. This was a great way to see the city and surrounding lakes of Rotorua. We were there in June (winter) and even though it was a cool ride, we loved it. Our driver was really good and added so much to the tour also.

Our duck boat driver, Grant, is what made this experience. He was funny and knowledge and absolutely entertaining. It was a great way to see some of the sites. Also, since it was cold, they brought blankets for the girls in our group who got cold.

Our group of 4 people ranged in age from 15 to 80, and we all enjoyed this experience. Our driver Grant was funny, but also patient when extra explanations were asked for. Because my husband and mother have limited mobility and are unable to walk very far, this activity was perfect for us. We found the speaker system was very... More

Took the 2 hour afternoon tour that takes you on three lakes and had a blast. These amazing machines are part of the attraction of course. We had the day before been to Lake Okareka, Lake Tikitapu, Lake Rotokakahi and Lake Tarawera so it was very interesting to go back the next day and actually drive onto three of these... More

This yellow Duck boat comes down the street and stops at the Tourist info centre, we are greeted by our skipper, an American, we hop aboard up the stairs at the back. We are all given a quacker to use at any time we liked to quack like a duck. Our driver was fantastic very knowledgeable about the area. We... More

Loved this tour. Has historical significance in the vehicle itself, as well as the surroundings the tour takes you through. The driver/host was awesome, an American dude who knew alot about Rotorua and was very witty in his hosting. Took my 4 year old with me on this, as well as my siblings and mother. It really is a fantastic... More
