For out of towners, this is probably one of the best ways of seeing the town and lakes, and learning some local history. Our guide Grant made the trip amusing for those in the Duck and out - we all had a 'duck quacker' which meant we could quack at people we passed! The 'Duck' itself is an amphibious war... More

The tour was good value for money, with lots of interesting information about the older sites of Rotorua. My two small grandsons really enjoyed "Quacking" at passersby, and all the other occupants of the "Duck"! The lakes were beautiful, and again, it really appealed to the boys to go from the land onto the water- and be allowed to sit... More

What fun!! We had a great time on this duck, although the constant encouragement to "quack" at pedestrians we passed could have been left out.

This was good fun, we were collected from a point near our hotel and off we went to do a tour around the city. Our guide was great...he was from UK originally ...really knowledgeable and very interesting. We all had yellow "quack" whistles to blow.....must have driven the locals mad !! After the tour of the city we went off... More

We really enjoyed the tours of green and blue lakes. The tour operator/owner was funny and very knowledgeable. He gave the history of Rotorua and the surrounding area. We would recommend this family activity to all

Having been travelling to Rotorua for over 30 years it is sometimes difficult to have new experiences, We achieved that today with the 4 lakes tour. The driver Paul put our kiwi knowledge to shame with his tit bits of info. Absolutely must do at the beginning of your Rotorua experience so you can investigate all the lakes in your... More

Fascinating history of the Duck - the vehicle. Interesting tour guide - very odd that he was American (for this kiwi). Wouldn't have chosen to go except my 4 year old was keen on the Duck itself -- enjoyed it, though expensive.

We did the longer Lakes tour and I wish we had done this tour earlier in our stay at Rotorua!! Saw so much that we wish we had time to come back and visit a few spots again, our guide was amazing and extremely knowledgeable on the area (especially for a yank!!) Learnt so much about the history of the... More

We had a lovely afternoon on the tour and learned a lot about the area from our guide Austin. We loved visiting the 4 lakes and all the knowledge we gained about the area. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting rotorua. A lot of fun!

We were collected from our hotel and had a very enjoyable tour on land and lake, it was a good fun trip with everyone joining in the "duck calls" and lots od the "Calls" handed out to take home to grandchildren, (how to annoy parents!) A lovely afternoon out
