Our recent trip to Rotorua NZ with my family was filled with fun, and our tour on the Duck (aWW2 amphibious vehicle) a highlight! The 90 minute trip took us around the sights of the town, including trips on two lakes....the children were allowed a turn driving....as was my husband! The guide/driver was brilliant - very informative and amusing. Essential... More

Lets be honest - most things in NZ are really overpriced. Just two days ago I paid $45 to walk 4 km, along some steaming water. At $75 for 1.5-2 hours on the duck - this is a great value! You get a bit of a history of the region, and to go into multiple lakes. This, of course, is... More

I took one of these tours and it is a really unique experience. Going round town in this unusual vehicle was a memorable event but when it hit the water it was even better. Our guide, Paul, was a lovely fellow and very knowledgeable. A lovely and unusual way to spend a couple of hours. We even got to have... More

This was part of a package I purchased for my wife and myself and I am so glad it was added. The Duck tour took us to 3 lakes that we would never have got to on our own. The Driver "Grant" was great and made the tour fun and informative. He also knew of our time constraints to make... More

Enjoyed the Rotorua Duck Tour as part of a cruise ship excursion. Our guide (Grant) was very knowledgeable about Rotorua - and quite a comedian as well. We had a great time on our amphibious adventures into two of the lakes in the area, as well as the land tour of the sights (and smells) of Rotorua. Highly recommend the... More

I went on the two hour trip with my son and his two children and we all had a great time, mainly thanks to our entertaining American driver/guide. We learnt a lot about the DUKW history and also about Rotorua. The highlight was when my 12 year old Granddaughter and 2 year old Grandson were given the chance of driving... More

We had the pleasure of taking the longer 120minute tour. We were fortunate in that the weather was picture perfect. This was an excellent trip very informative , the guide was excellent and kept us both amused and informed for the whole excursion, it was obvious he loved his job and wanted to share the beautiful country with us. There... More
