You must do the mud bath and sulphur pool, it was so relaxing and you will be smelling of sulphur for a few days but it is worth it. 4 stars only because the price is a little high.

It's worth looking at but there's only so many of these things you can see, especially as it's all on boardwalks. We also went to the wai-o-tapo thermal wonderland and that was heaps better.

It's not the most popular thermal activities that people visit. For this reason, this place is relatively quiet and less touristy. The area is full of thermal activities and it's amazing! You got different kind of pools and temperature! It's full of variety and I think it covers every kind you want to see. The mud bath was short and... More

I really enjoyed this experience. The geothermal walk was quite good, there were lots of different things to see and it was basically empty as it was winter. I enjoyed the mud baths which was fun and then the hot sulphur pools after. We stayed for a few hours and relaxed with neat views. We also did a few dips... More

The initial smell can be off-putting but if you think of it as more smelling more like matchsticks it's not too bad. The mud bath to begin was fantastic, my skin felt so amazingly soft for days afterwards from it. You could put it on and leave it on, or rub it in and exfoliate, it was just heavenly! After... More

Came here at the beginning of May so it was just starting to get cold. I went for the twilight spa experience with some friends. Transport is provided and we got picked up from 1830 from the i-site in Rotorua in the minibus (plate is MUDBUS). Once we were there there were 2 open plan changing with showers. Everyone was... Well maybe not, but it was amazing! My husband and I went to the twilight session. It was very romantic and quiet as it was in off season. We absolutely loved our time there, would def do it again!

So cool, never seen anything like this. This has to be seen in Rotorua. Must go to the Spa after aswell, the mud baths were great fun and my skin felt amazing after it.

20 minutes in a mud pool then onto soak for as long as you want in the sulphur pools. They provide plastic crates for your gear. Suggest you hire their togs and towels.

We went as a tour group and had a fantastic experience. They had swimsuits we could wear. The shower where we changed was outside, so we were pretty chilly this time of year. The floor was wet and we had trouble keeping our clothes from getting wet while changing. The hot mud felt so good and made everyone's skin really... More
