This was an amazing experience - entirely worthwhile - utterly astounding. I highly recommend it for geologists and amateur geologists alike. There's also something there for the English majors interested in Bernard Shaw!

It s the only place where you can do a mud Bath and sulphur spring. Opt for the private rooms where you have privacy and plenty of time on hand. Advance booking is recommended as they close the private section in case of no bookings. A worthwhile experience.

Hell's Gate is a typical place around Rotorua where you can see a lot of volcanic activity. It's a very interesting place to walk around.

Oh wow. This is so worth it as the staff are really lovely and the mud on your skin is sensational. The sulfur pools are also amazing. They have that extra personal touch here that just makes it so much more comfortable. I will definitely visit again and can highly recommend.

Great experience in the mud pools and sulphur pool. 20 minutes in the mud pool is a fantastic experience and a must for most, a bit on the pricey side though. The sulphur pool was a lovely way to relax. Be warned not to put your jewellery back on as it will tarnish, it is signposted but not obvious. All... More

The pools are a great experience (aside from the freezing changing areas which really need improving). Unfortunately we were greeted by a staff member who asked us where we were from and when I said Pukekohe he snorted and said "really?!". Nice. I guess I don't look "kiwi" enough for him. When I just looked at him he laughed and... More

We were greeted by friendly staff, the setting was spacious and the water warm enough. But I would have expected facilities to be comfortable enough, e.g.. at least body temperature to wash off the smelly mineral water at the end of our bath

The mud bath felt good would have liked more than the 20mins to soak in. Nice environment in the public space some effort with landscaping and rocks.Private part felt dead and unwelcoming. Friendly staff. Thought that the advertising we had read made it seem better than it was in reality. Slightly expensive for what was on offer.

As a geothermal attractions it doesn't stand out from the rest but try their Ultramud Experience and it comes to life. You take the walk, sit in the mud baths and then the sulphur spring before having a fabulous massage. Truly relaxing and makes the skin feels brilliant.

This was recommended to us by our guest house hosts as being slightly less commercial (if that’s possible) and importantly for us enabled not straying too far from our coastal route (we came in from SH2 on SH30 and headed back to the coast on SH33 which was quite a nice drive in itself). Whatever the circumstances of our experience... More
