I’m glad that I did Kaituna Rafting. What an experience of a lifetime! It was a great day. I & my two nieces (14 & 15 yo) had no experience what so ever and no knowledge of rafting. But our guide was very experienced and skilfully led the whole crew safe. It was a super fun and exciting experience ever.... More

The Grade 5 Kaituna Rafting is an experience of a lifetime, with the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world (7 meters). The adrenaline rush is amazing, with experienced guides to safely take you through the various rapids. One great experience was going over a rapid while standing up. The 'surfing' at the end was also a highlight. I had... More

I was unsure that i was up for rafting but the friendly helped every step of the way and it was an experience i wont forget. The staff let us practice and i felt as safe and ready as i could be before tackling the 7m waterfall. It was exhilarating and definitely worth it! Everyone was friendly and accommodation pick... This is a must-do when in the Rotorua region. We rafted for the first time last week on the Kaituna and it was the highlight of our NZ holiday! It was an amazing experience and Neville our guide was fantastic. Highly recommended!

enquired about a trip on the Rangitaike near Murupara. Got told it wasnt flowing well that day and wouldnt be a good trip for our small group, we wouldnt enjoy it at that low of a flow. The owner suggested we go on the Kaituna instead and was not helpful whatsoever when we said we were not keen on that... More

I am extremely disappointed you feel we let you down. Once the river level drops below a certain point (2.0 on the gauge) we recommend to customers that the Kaituna is a better option. We have had two drought summers and two mild winters and consequently levels on this trip were recently down at the lowest levels they have been... More

This was the only thing I pre-planned on our trip to New Zealand and I was not disappointed. The staff was great on getting us equipped and trained for handling the rapids and falls. Our guide was Hoss and he kept us entertained and laughing during the calmer portions of the Kaituna River run. The falls were crazy in a... More

Highly recommend this trip, really good fun and felt safe at all times despite not being particularly confident in the water. Equipment was excellent, it was a relatively cool day and We didn't feel cold at all. Don't forget your towel!

This is a must do when in Rotorua, NZ. Though it wasn't as long as I expected it to be, it was very thrilling and fun-filled. My family and friends (Party of 9) continue to rave about their experience on this wonderful water adventure. To top it off, the photos taken by the photographer were great!!! She was able to...
