We were trying to find out a few places to go on other than the Cruise tours. Some people suggested to go to Haruru Falls and the 5km trail around that which takes you to treaty ground. Expected a lot from the falls but they are not that huge. It's a small water fall. Trail is not that difficult nor... More

The falls are close to the road, and right next to the carpark. Nice scenery around the falls, with walks available. Good for a few photos.

The Falls are a short drive west from Paihia and worth a visit, easy access from the carpark, very photogenic

This is worth a look - it's easy to almost drive past as it's quite hidden. We were greeted by a bunch of wild chickens in the car park who escorted us to the falls. Very pretty - good picture opportunities.

There are bigger and better falls but Haruru Falls is still worth seeing - 2 min walk from the carpark. There is a longer walk that starts in the same carpark but I didn't do this.

Not large in size but worth a view if you are passing. Nice spot and very accessible. The falls themselves are horseshoe shaped. The walk to them is easy and nice to sit on the rocks and relax.

I've been too the falls multiple times over the years, and have always loved them. My last visit was during a stormy period, and the falls were extremely rough and powerful- if you're a waterfall kind of person then I'm sure you'll enjoy them. Very easy to access.

Loved how beautiful it is. Perhaps a fence to avoid little kids falling off maybe a good idea at some stage. Also some benches around the place for families to sit would be a nice idea.
