The walk to the falls was great, the falls themselves were unimpressive, dirty, and had a road right above them, so it kind of takes away from the nature of water falls.

Weather wasn't the greatest but the falls were very pretty, shame it was raining we would have ventured further or had picnic.

The Haruru Falls is truly a beautiful place. This is a very peaceful place to sit and watch the birds and listen to the waterfall.

These falls are worth a visit but in New Zealand the scenery is so awesome that a quiet place like this may be overlooked. A place to take a pause.

I thought in this day and age in New Zealand that most places should be accessible for wheelchair users but once again I am let down. I got halfway down the track toward the lookout platform in my powerchair to find bloody stairs. Sort it out guys. You are discriminating against a lot of mobility impaired tourists.

We stopped off on the way at Whangarei Falls the day before and they were spectacular. Took the shine off these are they are smaller. But still peaceful and beautiful. Still go there a definite it doesn't take long.

You can drive to the falls or walk from Waitangi. Both are good. We drove and just before the falls there is a motorcamp. Drive down to the cul-de-sac. Park outside the camp and launch your kayak. You can kayak over to the falls or all the way down to waitangi.

These falls are easy to reach from Paihia and are only a short walk from the parking area. The falls themselves are quite small, but the view in general is very picturesque
