A pretty harbour with cafes and restaurants, offering views of the harbour and Russell. Passenger Ferries to Russell go regularly from here as well as tours of the harbour and out lying islands. There is pay and display parking available very close, but not much further away free parking, so why pay! Beautiful scenery, make this popular spot a must... More

Lovely place to stroll around. Boat trips to many places available at reasonable price. Local shops and restaurants to visit. The beach was nice and not crowded even in the height of summer

Small beautiful harbor with cafes and restaurants, all offer good views to observe the harbor life. The scenery is magic at sunset - what a light.

nice calm harbour, with a nice public beach. It is a little bit pebbly and with shells, so don't expect fine sandy beach.

We had the most amazing accommodation at La Sassa, a private apartment attached to the owners home. We loved Paihia for the beaches, the Kayaking, the parasailing the trip to Russell and the lovely food on the seafront cafe. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The harbor was beautiful. There were different kinds of boats about. There are water taxies that takes you to Russell Island. There were various water activities and excursions you can participate in.

Paihai is the gem in the beautiful Bay of Islands and its waterfront is just wonderful. Great views, superb restaurants, clean and tidy and with a mix of old and contempory building, Paihai has something for everybody. We wandered around to the boat club which is over the bridge near Waitangi. They were busy as a cruise ship was in.... More

Has all you need but is a bit noisy and busy for a quite stroll. Take a drive up to the golf course for lovely views or the ferry to Russell for true tranquility and beauty.
