So much to see and do. Short ferry trip across to Russell which is just the lovliest historic place to visit with great dining. Endless boat trips to choose from, kayaks to hire, helicopter flights etc. A definite must to stay here or in Russell and enjoy a few days exploring.

Paihia is made up of three pretty bays and is sheltered from ocean by the Russell Peninsula. It is one of busiest travel hub of Bay of Islands. One can experience Sea Kayaking, Sailing and many more water activities. Craig and his team is most reliable team to provide you best experience of diving.

Travelling in winter meant we obviously didn't partake in any water sports/activities... none the less Paihia is a gorgeous year round place to visit. Lovely gardens, walks and shopping precinct- not too commercialized. Shops for most tastes. High end restaurants thru to self catering travelers will easily find what they need

This harbour is a picturesque slice of New Zealand and well worth the visit. The gateway to the Bay of Islands area and the staging point for the majority of tours. Very beautiful.
