I already added it to the Waitangi National Trust Grounds and Tours page - so go there. To summarise - this performance is awesome - gave me goosebumps. Beautiful voices - and masters of their crafts (poi dance, martial arts, stick songs, haka - and love songs). With the hangi dinner, and introduction to the meeting house meaning in all... More

The Culture Tour was fantastic and worth the money spent. The show in the meeting house was really rather amazing

Liked: the bus trip and tour of the most northern tip of the North Island up to the lighthouse with the BEST bus driver and tour guide: Chris. The Tasman Sea meets the Pacific Ocean at the tip of this part of the North Island: BEAUTIFUL.

Quite well done and well worth the extra NZ$ 10 for the program. Was a traditional Maori welcome ceremony at the Treaty House.

This was very well done and enjoyable. The Singers and Dancers, the Poi's and the people. They were so good and friendly and they let us take photos with them. One Gentleman even swapped my husband's stick for his Spear. How neat is that!!

We were trying to make reservations for our family,to see the night show. After several failed attempts of pulling up that attraction from the drop down menu I sent them an email. They were very prompt in their response, saying that sadly, they had been forced to discontinue the performances. Their website is still active and they may be doing daytime... More

The night show is so informative ...it is a great way of understanding NZ culture and history (very well directed) you must do this first and as I said in my other comment on Waitangi Treaty Grounds "do this first and everything else will fall into place" !

We spent an afternoon in January with Kena Alexander. He was an excellent guide, who gave us a really good introduction to Maori culture, which we didn't really know much about. He structured the afternoon according to our interests. He is smart, friendly and just generally a really nice guy to spend an afternoon with. We drove to some important... More
