It is a gorgeous place to visit, with so much history. We loved walking along the back track where you experience breathtaking views of the bay... More

The Treaty grounds are well worth a visit to put in place how New Zealand began for the early immigrants, and for the coming together of two peoples to live in one country. Visit the Treaty House and Te Whare Runanga. Look at the amazing war canoe,... More

We visited a few days before Waitangi Day, and enjoyed the experience. We learned so much about Maori legacy and its impact. We enjoyed the views of the Bay of Islands, the war canoes, and the meeting house and other buildings on the site. We wish we could have had more time to wander - but we all agree it... More

Awesome Kiwi History on display. The birthplace of NZ's co-existance. So well kept, the entire area, even outside the treaty grounds were immaculate. More

We happened to go on Waitangi Day so entrance was free, there was a fete and a naval salute. It was interesting seeing the traditional Maori meeting house and the massive waka (canoe). More
