According to Maori legend, this is the place where spirits depart on their journey to the homeland - Hawaiki.. Visit the ancient Puketi Kauri forest and view 1,000 year old Kauri trees and native bush. Try sandboarding at Te Paki Stream, a fun experience that is available to all passengers. « less

We had the best bus trip with Rhyan from Fullers tours. Rhyan is a fantastic driver and he has a really cheeky, funny personality to go with it. We had a buffet lunch with fresh seafood, went to the lighthouse at Cape Reinga, slid down the sand dunes, then had the best trip down the 90 mile beach. Even though... More

We were planning to drive ourselves to Cape Reinga but were so glad we took the day tour instead. It meant that what would have taken two to three days we got done in a day leaving more time for other experiences. It also meant that I could enjoy the wonderful scenery rather than focusing on driving safely on the... More

We enjoyed every minute of this bus tour, from the 7am start, through the trip up 90-mile beach, watching others sliding down the sand dunes, exploring around the lighthouse and finally arriving back at Paihia around 6pm, having visited a kauri forest along the way. There were plenty of food and rest stops (clean bathrooms), the coach was comfortable and... More

We were based in Paihia for six nights and had a hire car, but decided to let someone else take the strain for the day and what an excellent decision! It was an extremely long day (12 hours - starting at 7am), but we covered a huge distance and did so much - there is no way we could have... More

Kia ora OzzyGirlWiltshire, thanks for taking the time to write a review of your experience. We're delighted you enjoyed your day with Wally and you'll have to come back to try sandboarding for yourself someday! Safe travels. More

I did the 8 day AATKings tour of NZ's North Island and included the Bay of Islands. My first Fullers experience was the cruise of the Bay. Wow! Amazing and we saw Orcas. Then I got up early the next day and got on the Coach for the drive to Cape Reinga with Derrick as driver and guide. He was... More

A full day out, regardless of a bit of rain we drove up the beach and dug pipis as promised, slid down massive sand dunes and walked the track to the lighthouse. Having a local Maori driver made the history of the area pertinent and meaningful, and the humorous asides wiped away any hint of 'them and us' attitude. There... More

I booked this trip after reading the reviews on this sight and it didn't disappoint! The coach was punctual, driver extremely informative & good fun. The trip along 90 mile beach impressive, sand boarding great fun and the views at Cape Reinga breath taking. I would thoroughly recommend the fish and chip stop at the end. At 8nzd for a... More

Our Cape Reinga trip with Fullers was recommended by our host where we stayed in Mangonui. It was reasonably priced compared to some. We had a hire car but were a bit tired of driving on NZ roads and plus we wanted to go on the beach. We were collected about 9.30 and returned about 6pm. Most people took the... More

I did the Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach Tour with awesomeNZ overall it is a nice tour if you are on a tight schedule on your NZ trip. The 2 in 1 driver/guide had an excellent knowledge about the region, history and culture. But I think it is too much programme for just one day. Sandboarding is awesome and... More

Well organised trip with a courteous and friendly driver/guide who was very knowledgeable with a keen sense of humour. Most enjoyable. Equal to any trip we have undertaken overseas. A first class service. More
