Our family recently did the triple dipper chocolate tour and loved it. The history and information was great, we to try some of the chocolates and then found chocolate heaven at the café in the form of an iced chocolate. Liquid chocolate mousse, I ended up having my wife's as well and left not wanting to see more chocolate for... More

A great place to take friends and family, the food in the cafe is just lovely. There's always a wide assortment to choose from in the cabinet (love the stuffed potatoes and yummy cakes) or there's the brunch and lunch menus. The coffee is lovely too. Staff friendly and helpful and it's very clean! The gift shop is super, lots... More

Loved the information provided and the collectables but the over the top experience belongs to trying to drink one of their iced chocolate drinks. Liquid chocolate mousse..........so delicious...couldn't finish mine but my travelling companion managed to finish his and mine.......it totally fulfilled his chocolate craving!

My favourite place to eat. The food is delicious, the coffee amazing and the chocolate divine. The staff are friendly and efficient. Don't just go to the café....there is also the gift shop ( a great to place to find gorgeous hand bags and jewellery)...and the chocolate shop. Not only do they make fabulous chocolates, they also make fudge! Well... More

Visited the factory as a detour between Napier and Hastings. It was very interesting. Loved the museum of chocolate - much better than the one at Phillip island in Victoria, however felt that the entry fee was a little pricey for what was a static display. Despite the adverse comments re Phillip Island factory could I suggest that the owners... More

Honestly, this place is fine if your road tripping and come across it by accident. But at the core to go looking for it specifically it is very disappointing. The chocolate is very average, I didn't even buy any of it as a souvenir because it just tasted like cheap $2 chocolates that you get at the grocery store. The... More

We booked the Silky Oak Triple Chocolate Tour. It was just the 2 of us and the lady was really nice and very knowledgeable about the chocolate world. We got some chocolate before the tour and we also got a box of chocolates each. This is not like Cadbury chocolate but it's still very nice. After the tour we got... More

Even if chocolate isn't your thing the cafe is lovely. If however you're a chocoholic then this is for you. The chili chocolate drink and iced chocolate are both highly recommended. The locally made bread behind the counter is also lovely. The service here is always good.

A nice drive out of town to this attraction, the cafe was busy and service quick and friendly. Lots of good options savoury and sweet. The salmon omelette bursting with salmon, coffees reviving. The shop small but well set out with many temptations.

The museum was very informative and beautifully presented. We did the Triple Chocolate Dipper tour which included morning tea which was very filling so be sure to go with an empty tummy as we couldn't finish our cakes. The chocolates are delicious and the story has an extensive range of handmade (including hand filled) chocolates).
