We booked the Silky Oak Triple Chocolate Tour. It was just the 2 of us and the lady was really nice and very knowledgeable about the chocolate world. We got some chocolate before the tour and we also got a box of chocolates each. This is not like Cadbury chocolate but it's still very nice. After the tour we got... More

Even if chocolate isn't your thing the cafe is lovely. If however you're a chocoholic then this is for you. The chili chocolate drink and iced chocolate are both highly recommended. The locally made bread behind the counter is also lovely. The service here is always good.

A nice drive out of town to this attraction, the cafe was busy and service quick and friendly. Lots of good options savoury and sweet. The salmon omelette bursting with salmon, coffees reviving. The shop small but well set out with many temptations.

The museum was very informative and beautifully presented. We did the Triple Chocolate Dipper tour which included morning tea which was very filling so be sure to go with an empty tummy as we couldn't finish our cakes. The chocolates are delicious and the story has an extensive range of handmade (including hand filled) chocolates).

The chocolate factory has many selections including fudge. You can view chocolate being made but it's best to call in advance if that's what you are interested in as this sometimes isn't in operation. The chocolate is very expensive, but well worth it.

As a chocolate lover it was fascinating to learn the history of chocolate. The museum was well set out with excellent artefacts. The food at the cafe was pretty good also.

Loved watching the chocolate being made and seeing how it was done. Then on to sampling some of the offerings for sale and of course ultimately buying some to take home. Trouble was that only a small portion arrived home as it was that delicious couldn't help ourselves. We're certainly coming back next time in Napier and definitely recommend it... More

The extreme chocolate at the cafe is a must try - a speciality drink composed of an espresso cup full of Silky Oak melted chocolate, topped with whipped cream and various chocolate button/shaped additions. The addition of chili powder to spice the drink up is an option. The food is also good and I recommend a savoury option to cut... More

This place is an absolute must on your visit to hawkes bay. Not only do they have the best chocolate they have a wonderful museum that teaches you the origins of chocolate. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by offerings of gorgeous pieces of chocolate and a lovely warm smile from Jeanette and her staff. You can watch... More

We arrived too late to do the tour but had lunch at the cafe. The menu was extensive and looked so good it was hard to choose. However, having chosen, the iced chocolate was the best we'd ever had and the apricot chicken filo delicious. We cannot recommend this cafe highly enough. Great food, great service and all at a...
