A lovely small vineyard and cellar. Short tour includes a little wine museum. We got to taste 6 wines in total. Guide was new to the job but very friendly.

We visited twice - first time only the cellar door which was our first tasting experience in Hawkes Bay. The lovely lady (I've forgotten her name, but she had glasses) gave us a great tasting experience and challenged us to find better in the area! We set out to her challenge and returned the following day for lunch! Wine tasting... More

We went to this vineyard as part of our scenic tour ,the young lady who took us around was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the vineyard day to day workings Especially interesting was the Wine Museum which showed many aspects of the early days of wine making in the area Good wines to try too a must see

Wine samples, then some share plates, a couple more glasses of wine - what could be better? A bistro environment that caters with a child friendly menu and large outdoor area for children to run about, that's what! Lovely grounds, good wine and great service.

Mitch our tour guide at the winery was well versed in the formalities of wine making and was a friendly educated guide. Our tour lasted over an hour with wine tastings and nibbles. Church road wines are renowned in the area for their quality. We agree wholeheartedly. it was a great way to spend our time in the Hawkes Bay... More

Went here for lunch with group of 20 plus people, set menu $33 with choice of 2 mains and " chef's sweet treat". One of the 2 choices on our menu was very nice but the other - beef cheeks -disappointing, beautifully cooked but tasteless and bland. And as for the "sweet treat" it was a small slice of very... Had been to Mission Estate Winery but they were not open for public so was unable to see the vineyards but only from distance. Wine tasting is complimentary there. We bought 2012 Syrah at a cost of 2 for $24.

We visited the winery and the museum. The winery is just another winery, noyhing spectacular. The museum is nice and interesting, worth a visit. It is very nice to eat at the restaurant on a nice sunny day outside. The tables are on the garden under a tent and it's lovely. The wines are nothing special, except the pepper shiraz.... More

As soon as we rode our bikes up the driveway a staff member shouted out to push them around onto the lawn in the shade and make ourselves at home - so we did. This is a lovely building and so nice and cool when you walk in on a hot summer day. Our host was awesome (I wish I... More
