Had been to Mission Estate Winery but they were not open for public so was unable to see the vineyards but only from distance. Wine tasting is complimentary there. We bought 2012 Syrah at a cost of 2 for $24.

We visited the winery and the museum. The winery is just another winery, noyhing spectacular. The museum is nice and interesting, worth a visit. It is very nice to eat at the restaurant on a nice sunny day outside. The tables are on the garden under a tent and it's lovely. The wines are nothing special, except the pepper shiraz.... More

As soon as we rode our bikes up the driveway a staff member shouted out to push them around onto the lawn in the shade and make ourselves at home - so we did. This is a lovely building and so nice and cool when you walk in on a hot summer day. Our host was awesome (I wish I... More

We tasted a range of wines at this attractive winery. Our hostess was well informed and helpful and made our short visit memorable. The restaurant is attractive in an open air setting and we are keen to revisit another day.

We thoroughly enjoyed out trip to this winery, our guide was well informed and gave us an interesting tour of the premises and explained in great detail the very complex methods of making the wine. I learned a lot. The actual winery building was very attractive and many weddings were held there. The wine tasting part was great fun and... More

My husband, friend and I highly recommend Church Road Winery. The new location of the restaurant out the back is perfect. We first did the wine tasting and then ordered two starters and two salads to share for a first course and then shared the platter. All the food was delicious, as was the bottle of chardonnay we had to... More

I visited Church Road winery over the Christmas period. We were unable to get a table outside as it was very busy, but they found a lively table for us, which I think turned out to be the best, just in our own private corner by the window. We decided to pay an extra $10 to try the reserve wine... More

We hired bikes from Marine Parade and rode about 18 kms to get here. Upon arriving we saw many people heading to their tables outside under umbrellas - all nicely dressed and here we were in our cycling gear! Thought we'd have a quick look around and go but we were made to feel welcome and despite them obviously being... More

Visited here after a recommendation but would never return! I have to say that the wine tasting itself was fab but the restaurant service was painfully slow - 1 hour for two ice teas - even though the restaurant was not full. Glass in our food didn't equate to a reduction on the bill....instead they plonked chocolate truffles in front... More

How about the back end of Church Road Winery - out in the sunshine a new cafe with a massive patio and sun shade sails. If you know where the Church Road concerts used to be and the steps leading up to the tasting room are then this is is it.... The service and the staff just amazing - so... More
