On a wet day in January, we called in for lunch. The impressive, lofty building, with huge timber beams and the orderly lines of wine casks, provide a spacious yet warm ambience. We had a limited wine tasting after ordering our food, and found most of the wines to be well-made and reasonably-priced. We shared the two entrees on offer,... More

We were miserable in the rainy Hawke's bay but a lunch a church road winery definitely made our day. We had the salmon and the pork with their matching wines and everything was perfect! We are planning to come back as soon as possible♡

My wife and I cycled to this winery from Napier. The Winery is just stunning, we did the tour and tasting. Our guide Alice was knowledgeable and friendly and the tasting at the end was exceptional. Allowing us to try what we would like to. Can't wait to see these wines in the UK one day.

Really enjoyed the museum tour and tasting! Cellar door here was excellent as well, lots of different wines and cellar door exclusives to buy!

Good meals and wines. Attractive setting. We had the platters and they were tasty. Wines reasonably priced, we had the pinot gris. Tried the bombe Alaska for dessert was OK but very sweet.

This was the biggest disappointment of our trip. The wine should have been amazing, and it was average; the service was patchy and disinterested and it felt like there was a concerted effort to part us from our money at any cost. Groups were clearly given preferential treatment to a few people or individuals at the cellar door; and tastings... More

We came to take wine tasting and weren't disappointed: very nice place, excellent selection of wines and good restaurant. That's so easy to put a several toys for kids and they will play and parents will have some rest. But unfortunately so many places forget to do it! Here they haven't forgotten:) And the last advice: take blueberry cake for... More

We had a very nice platter with our wine and the kids had a picnic box. Plate was very yummy and seemed like good value. Kids ran all there energy out on the large grassy area out the back before coming in for their food. Loved the location!
