Kinda small for a national aquarium but we did see Kiwi and blue penguins. Well done but limited. Worth a quick visit if you want to see these animals for a modest cost.

Interesting but I would have liked more details on the species of fish we saw in the tropical tank, there was not enough info on what their names were.

A fish is a fish is a fish. Nothing of note here. Went to the aquarium in Sydney and it rose above the average by having dugong. Fascinating creatures. This didn't really have anything of note.

Highly recommend! Both kids and adults will enjoy. Rate this better than Kelly tarltons. Bit more hands on and interactive. Allowed to put your hands in some of the tanks. Had a large 'Koi-Carp' suck on my fingers. Also found feeding time with the blue penguins very enjoyable. The cost for a family pass was well worth what we got... More

Just popped in as we had a little time to kill, loved it! Kiwi, shark, turtle, fish and rescued blue penguins. What's not to like at $20 entry and an hour and a half chilling

This is more than just a small aquarium. A great Penguin exhibit along with live Kiwis. The Kiwi exhibit is extremely dark and finding the birds will keep you entertained for a while, but they are there. No flash photos allowed as it frightens the birds. They are nocturnal. A reasonably priced day visit.

Had a lovely visit to the National Aquarium over Waitangi weekend. Really well set up with so much to see, was impressed with what you get for the $20 entry fee. We were a big group with my parents and my kids and this was enjoyed thoroughly by everyone. Recommend that you take a look!

A good aquarium, not to far along Marine Parade. We enjoyed the exhibits, and even got to see a kiwi - which was unexpected. The only negative was we thought the entrance fee was somewhat pricey.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your visit with us. We understand pricing can be a subjective issue but we look to be fair with our ticket pricing and are certainly competitive with similar facilities in New Zealand such as other Aquariums and Tourism venues with Kiwi exhibits More

This place is great for families with kids. Not overly huge but it has lots to keep people entertained. We even saw kiwi birds roaming around in their enclosure! We arrived around 1pm and was perfect timing as they had penguin and shark feeding at 1.30pm and 2pm every day. Good place to spend a few hours in!

Good range of pools and marine life. Enjoyed feeding time in the big tank, great to ride the escalator around and watch the divers performing and feeding the fish. Couldn't see many penguins on the day we visited, but enjoyed everything else. Three year old daughter and 14 year old nephew from Perth loved it.
