Love the aquarium. It is brilliant. I wouldn't recommend swimming with the sharks for kids. The temperature is cold, the wetsuits don't fit or they don't have enough of them and the staff don't give proper instructions for how to use a snorkel. This is expensive and not well run.

Our visit was very entertaining and educational. All the pools, tanks etc were large and roomy for their inhabitants. The educational notices at each site was informative and easy to read. Nice to be able to move around the vast complex at your leisure. The Cafe looked clean and had a good selection of food, but we didnt stop there.... More

This was one of many highlights of my new zealand cruise. $20 is a great price. They even had kiwi birds. Lots of Fishes, sharks, stingrays & penguins. Big animal lover. Truly loved it!

Spent a very enjoyable few hours on a rainy blustery day at the aquarium - and enjoyed it immensely. Lots of beautiful animals to see, and facts to be learnt. Watched the feeding of the penguins - super cute! Amazing underwater tunnel, great to watch sharks swimming over the top of you. A photographers delight!!

We had our daughter's 5th birthday here with 10 children and 4 adults. The staff were amazing; providing a personal guide - Jake - who took care of everything. Jake was personable, knowledgable and who held the childrens' attention effortlessly. We ordered the birthday cake which was so very yummy and the food provided by the cafe was plentiful and... Good visit for families; Miss 1 & 7 both enjoyed it and loved the turtles and penguins, they also enjoyed the coloring table and souvenir coin machine. A visable sign at front entry to say the kiwis were not there would have been appreciated as that was one of our reasons to visit so were disappointed! value for money if... More

Interesting aquarium, varied displays for the fish and reptiles. Terry thr turtle was really cool how he followed you inside the tank. The penguin enclosure was cool, it seemed big and stimulating enough for them.

We took the kids for a Saturday afternoon visit. Kids loved it - the octopus and penguins were the highlights. The tour group moving through in front of us was a little annoying (taking up most of the space at the penguin feeding and then again at the shark feeding) and 1-2 hours is more than adequate. Fun for a... More
