We loved the options you have with this walk. You can start at a variety of places and you can shorten it if weather is not co-operating or your young one spits the dummy like our 5 year old did. There is a playground near to Thames st too.

If a visitor to Napier only do this if time allows. It's okay, if your expectations are low. If you're a local or have a bit more time then I think you'll appreciate this more. Well set up track with some informative signs. The children's park at the start/finish obviously has a very different role at night judging my the... More

50 minutes round walk, dogs need to be on leach, watch out for bikes. Great walk, nice info along the way, close to Fish and Chip shop. Playground for kids, lots of parking, close to bars in port area, thirsty wale etc and lunch places. perfect.

This is a great stroll around the estuary at Ahuriri. A lot of work has been done over the past few years to restore the wetlands, and it shows. A nice easy stroll always worth a visit to see the continual changes of nature. Child / wheelchair friendly.

Great easy stroll or run if you are that way inclined. Fresh air and nice scenery. Enjoyed it and would definately do it again.

The estuary walk is really lovely. The trails are well-maintained and is a great place to walk your dog on the leash. Good pram access and wheelchair access for those less abled. Wear sunscreen and a hat as there is no shade.

Lovely peaceful walk loop and you can make it short or long as you like, interesting bits and pieces of information. Didnt like the unscooped dog poop on the grass on the way back to the car.

Easy walk with lots of bird life to be seen and hardly any people. Walk is well marked and goes over and by the side of the water.

We walked along the prescribed route which in all is about 3 km. Lovely views of the bay with a safe walkway for pedestrians and cyclists. A very pleasant way to spend the morning.
