We visited Moana Park and were really impressed with their allergy free wines, no sulphites, or animal products used. They provide a one on one tasting for each group and are very knowledgeable. Every wine we tried we loved . Go there and have a tasting really worth while and the people are passionate about their product

Visited Moana Park as part of a half day tour (with Prinsys). This place was definitely the clear highlight for me (and all the others were very good). Having Dan lead the tasting and answer questions enthusiastically and interestingly was certainly the difference between this and other wineries... though the range of wines on offer and generous sample sizes helped!... After spending the afternoon at two huge wineries (Mission Estate and Church Road), this boutique winery was a refreshing change and a great way to wind down a long day. We got there almost near to closing but the staff present seemed more than happy to continue chatting with us throughout the tasting. This winery has got some very tasty... More

In my travels to wine regions around the world, I have found the best way to find good wineries in new regions is when you go to a winery or a restaurant you like, ask THEM for recommendations for local wineries as they will likely have experienced the lot. Well after two restaurants and two wineries recommended Moana, we knew... More

We were very lucking to have the owner of the winery as our host for our tasting visit. There was no surcharge for tasting, the wines are superb . Highly recommended, bottle prices were very reasonable with no pressure to purchase. This was the final winery on our list to visit and all agreed it it was right up there... More

What at first seemed to be a small, quaint and homely winery (all positives anyway) in another beautiful Hawkes Bay setting became one the most enjoyable wine tastings sessions I've ever had, filled with complexity and interesting information. Sitting outdoors tasting wine as Dan described what makes his wine unique in 'understandable' detail, with enthusiasm & displaying attention to detail... More

Hi Russell, Thanks heaps for taking the time to review our little winery. Very glad that you enjoyed the tasting experience with Dan - this is exactly the type of effect we aim to achieve. I will however be careful to provide this feedback to him in pieces so that his ego doesn't get a workout all at once! ;-)... More

We rode our bikes 18 km along one of many Hawke's Bay I-way routes from the Coast into Puketapu for a truly lovely little picnic @ Moana Park. The winery tasting room is quite small but in a quaint setting. The Moana Park Estate And Single Vineyard wines are delicious. These 2 higher end ranges were really outstanding -- in... More

This was by far the best Winery we visited on Saturday. We were relaxed and were able to ask questions no matter how dumb they may have seemed. Dan put us at ease...with his friendly banter and knowledge of his winery and workers. We also had a quick look around his winery at their bottling machine....amazing...I cannot wait to drink... Moana Park Winery knows how to do a wine tasting. There is lots of parking. There are picnic tables outside. We enjoyed a one-on-one discussion with Moana Park staff during our visit. He was generous and helpful. All-in-all, it felt rustic and homespun. The wine? It was very, very good.
