Took my almost 15 yr old son and 11 year old daughter on this trip. The water was quite low so the trip was slowish (March 22nd) Water was very cold. The bigger rapids were few. It served its purpose in that it was daughters first time rafting and so she found it suited to her level of confidence. Might... More

Our guide was fun and informative. Due to being on a cruise ship we only had time to do the grade 2 part of the river but it was fun and we were able to swim in a natural whirlpool in the river and enjoy spectacular scenery. On arrival at the base after rafting the river we enjoy a nice... More

My 16 year old son and I had a fabulous experience rafting (grade 3) with these guys in January 2015. In fact, it was the highlight of our holiday! Even managed to do the cliff jump even though we are both scared of heights. Highly recommend.

Wish I'd known about these local guys ages ago. Had the best day with an amazing Canadian guide. Beautiful scenery and lots of laughs with a couple of screams of excitement thrown in. Will definitely be doing this again, and amping it up to the next grade.

The rafting trip, our pickup, river guide, lunch and time on the river were all top notch. Unfortunately, they are in a bit of a drought over there in New Zealand. So, a level 3 trip became a level 2 trip. Slow and picturesque. I recommend these rafters 100%. We had Drew as our guide. He also rafts for a... More

My husband and I decided to try the Grade 3 rafting trip and Gwynn was our guide. Norm, the owner got us kitted out in our wetsuits and Drew drove us to the drop point. Drew and Gwynn were super friendly and as seasoned champion rafters themselves, very knowledgeable. Gwynn taught us the basics as far as raft skills and... More

This was a great experience. Felt safe and that the guides knew what they were doing. This was a full days rafting and it was pretty tiring. Young kids might find it too much.

Ashleigh and our Canadian rafting guide (sorry forgot his name) gave our party of 4 people a fantastic day out on the river. You don't need to take any gear because the company provides everything (footwear, wetsuit, fleece jacket, splash cape, helmet and life jacket). We went on a grade 2 because of time limitations of being on a cruise... More

I'm a little scared of white water, but after my partner emphasized I'd only love the trip i decided that I would give it a go.. In fact three of us were scardy cats.. I thought that if I didn't like it, I'd get out and walk the scarey bits...well there weren't any but there were a few thrills and... More

We did the 3 day river rafting with Mohaka in January. All 3 of our guides went out of the way to provide a fantastic experience. Great company, high safety standard and 3 course meals with all the trimmings cooked for us, while we lounged around, was an unexpected bonus. Wow we certainly did not leave hungry. Mohaka river is... More
