A great way to be introduced to Napier and its unique history and architecture. It doesn't cover the whole town but is a good starting point....

This walking tour is well worth doing as it give a real feel for the history of Napier and how it was shaped by the earthquake. After the tour you suddenly start noticing all of the buildings with a new appreciaiton.

I did the 5pm walk around Napier. It was a great little walk. The tour guide was very informative and pointed out a lot of things that I would just never have noticed. There are all kinds of great little details in the buildings there.

The 5 day festival experience gave more than I could have even asked for! The atmosphere in the town with visitors, cafe staff, locals all wearing 1930's apparel, the street theatre, singers, vintage cars, events, movies, free 9-midnight entertainment in the Band Shell and the happy family environment was just stunning. It had been on the Bucket list for some... More

Lots of useful info from our guide Murray. Well worth doing. The shop is very tempting but we couldn't buy much as we have no space in our luggage. I really wanted one of their Art Deco rugs that are especially made for the Trust in Nepal but decided I have enough stuff at home already.

We took the one hour Art Deco walking tour on a whim and are really glad we did. Our guide was knowledgable and enthusiastic; she was clearly passionate about sharing the history of this unique town. The tour was engaging and our guide gave us the tools to continue our own exploration of the town. 10 outta 10, would walk... More

Fantastic collection of art deco clothing, accessories, home ware, etc plus a screening on Napier, the earthquake and emergence of art deco architecture. Staff dress in period costume and are knowledgeable and friendly. A must place to visit.

Good retail space and for $5 per person, check out the short movie on the Napier earthquake, very interesting. Lovely ladies that were running it too.
