What a great tour. We only had time for a 1 hour tour. Despite Napier being really busy as there was a large cruise ship visiting and their being 20 people on the tour, our guide Barry, brought the Art Deco period alive. It was fascinating. A must do!

Went to the store to get a guide book for the walking tour. There are. Also guided tours for those that prefer that option. Store had a lot of nifty Art Deco merchandise and a good selection of hats for men and women.

We had a wonderfully informative and interesting walk with our volunteer guide, Sue. She was very friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a very good tour of Napier's Art Deco building

The vintage car tour run by the Art Deco Trust was an absolute highlight of our stay in Napier. We spent a few very enjoyable hours getting chauffeured around the architectural highlights in a classic car by our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Cherrie. We were even admitted into a few buildings that we would not otherwise have been able to... More

We live in Napier, but always take all our visitors into the Art Deco Trust Shop, as it gives people a great overview of the unique CBD buildings & Art Deco Style - video to view; guided walks available; huge range of merchandise etc. Volunteer Staff are always helpful & friendly too - don't miss it on your next trip... Cherrie picked us up in a beautiful 1926 Packard and took us for a drive around Napier, telling us all about the 1931 earthquake and the recreation of the city in Art Deco style - plus Spanish Mission, stripped classical and Prairie. Cherrie knew it all and explained it in an accessible and interesting way. She took us inside two... More

i recommend the two hour 2PM tour. I signed up the morning of the tour with no problem. The volunteer guide answered all our questions and was very enthusiastic about her town...and rightly so. It was an easy, lovely walk around some of the beautiful art deco buildings including a visit inside the theater. What fun... The tea and the... More

We booked online for the 1 hour morning walking tour, as we were on a cruise ship and thought it may be booked out if we just turned up on the morning. The guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour. If our ship wasn't sailing at 2pm, we would have chosen the afternoon 2 hour tour which was only... More

We booked the Art Deco Walking Tour prior to coming on holiday to New Zealand but I think tickets could just as easily have been booked on the actual day. It is with a volunteer guide who has plenty of knowledge and photographs to share with you and it is so interesting learning the history of Napier and actually seeing... More
