As promised our driver and van were waiting for us at the end of the cruise ship pier. Rotura immersed us in Maori culture both in the past but how they are preserving the crafts today. So glad for the stop at the kiwi Center although it was very crowded making us grateful to be in a small group rather... More

We recently did a tour with Archer tours to Rotorua from Tauranga. We were cruising NZ and there were two ships in port on the same day so Jim had two buses operating and Wayne was our driver and guide for the day. Finding Jim & Wayne was very easy even in the chaos that occurs with two ships in... More

We enjoyed our time with Jim Archer immensely. He was so very knowledgeable and showed us the wonderful country and culture he lives in. We especially enjoyed the Maori Cultural Centre. I also enjoyed seeing the Winter Gardens. His vans are clean and comfortable. I don't think anyone would be sorry for booking a tour with him. We highly recommend... More

Many thanks to our Tour Operator Jim Archer. We decided to book our tours ourselves before leaving on our cruise and were very pleased that we booked with Archer Tours. We enjoyed our two trips with Jim to Auckland and Tauranga. Both tours were very relaxing and informative. Jim took us to places that a larger tourist bus would be unable... More

We have done many day trips from cruise ports in many locations around the world. Jim's tour was one of the best. From Tauranga he picked us up and set an excellent pace, neither too slow, nor too rushed. The highlight was Rotorua and Maori cultural centre. The pride in his Maori heritage is warm and engaging. His commentary was... More

My family (2 adults and two teenagers) and I greatly enjoyed the two days we spent with Jim in the cruise ports of Tarunga and Auckland. Jim met us at the port in Tarunga and we had no problem locating his smiling face and immaculate van at the cruise terminal. Our group of 7 quickly left the cruise port and... More

We were on a cruise around New Zealand and had pre-booked a tour with Jim Archer to Rotorua. This was an excellent trip, and we were treated to an interesting commentary by Jim, who is a Maori. After a tour of Taurnaga (including a stop on the Pacific beach), we called in at the Kiwi 360 centre before travelling to... More

Tauranga was one of our cruise ports, and we utilized Jim's tour services for Tauranga and Rotorua. I would highly recommend Jim. Being Maori, Jim has some wonderful insight that we found fascinating. Everything went very smoothly with all of our arrangements. Jim was punctual, responded quickly with any correspondence, and had a very neat and clean van. Jim was... More

We were having difficulty finding a tour company local to Hamilton to do a trip to Waitomo Caves, then we discovered Archer Tours. Jim is a fantastic, knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip with him to Waitomo. He was so happy to share his little corner of paradise with us. We had a wonderful time... More

We were only in port for a day and wanted a small group experience with a knowledgeable local guide. Jim delivered! We might want something further customized in the future because there were still too many other groups visiting the main sites but we loved seeing the beach and lake and hearing Jim's perspective on everything. Thanks Jim!
