We spent several hours with our 3 kids, having a great fun; great combination of garden with sculptures. The rote is very nice and every few steps you reach different area (forest, pond, quarry..) and its not expansive. We highly recommend to visit there to people leaving in or travelling to Hamilton and its vicinity

17.5 hectare (42 acre) Sculpture Park that has three new sculpture exhibitions a year along its 2 kilometre nature trail. The Park is open every day from 10 am until sunset. The sculptures and site-specific installations are made by New Zealand artists or overseas artists visiting NZ.

This place is full of delightful surprises as you wander about. The atmosphere is very peaceful and even though there were lots of other people there we didn't notice them and were able to go at our own pace on a journey of discovery.

About a half hour drive from Hamilton, the Waitakaruru Arboretum and Sculpture Park is well worth visiting. The park has been established in an old quarry and features an impressive variety of plants and sculptures. You are provided with a handout that shows the main paths through the park and details of the sculptures.
The sculptures are many and varied....
