Every time I visit NZ I have to go to one tree hill. It has epic views of the city and area. Just make sure you have a nice day since it can be windy and cold up on top.

I would not go to Cornwall Park just to see One Tree Hill, but if you're at the park it is well worth hiking up the hill for the spectacular views. You will also pass beautiful landscaping and local livestock on the way up.

This park is so lush and beautiful. The most striking thing is how green auckland is compared with Australia. Sigh... Can someone bring some rain from NZ to Oz?

It is a great way to get a good view of the area all around Auckland. Easy access and easy to find. The terrasse around the monument allows a 360 degree view of the City, from the Needle to the airport. Worth spending a few minutes to take pictures. Its also unusual to see sheeps right in the city, but... More

One Tree Hill has a nice countryside feel so close to the city. It's a great place to get away. The park is very scenic and worth the effort for a walk around.

There is a lot of history to this place and its a shame the tree has been hacked at and chopped down. Still its worth checking out, once at the top you get a good view of the city

This was a nice park for a walk or picnic. It was nice to see the baby lambs and calves in the paddocks.

We live close to one tree hill and walk there regularly. It's a lovely big park and well used by travellers. There are barbecues provided which are well supplied with wood which are well utilised by travellers and families. The view at the top is great and tourist can get up close and personal with the Sherpa, cows and chickens.

When I first came to NZ I used to think that if ever they cut down the remaining ONE Tree on ONE TREE HILL, I would not return. Each time from the airport I would look for the tree, still there, ok. NOW they have cut down the Tree and only the Monument remains. Luckily I have a Painting done... More

Great view. Gets very breezy. A small car parking area. A wee bit unsafe for kids since there are no fencing of slopes.
