One Tree Hill has great views of Auckland & lots of sheep and lambs as well. Plus it's all free which makes it even better.

I loved this summit, mainly because there are lots of sheep everywhere!!! Although they all ran past me and I didn't get to touch and play with them haha but it was nice to see them all. Great view and worth the visit. We didn't get the chance to walk up to the summit but I recommend walking up so... More

To get your bearings this is a must-do as all of Auckland can be viewed from the top. We take all our overseas visitors here on day one.

The iconic park symbolises Auckland. Beautiful tree lined avenues mix with farmland - in spring, the place to go is Twin Oak Drive to wander amongst the daffodils & newly born lambs. Also hike to the summit for the best view of Auckland. A national treasure.

The views from this spot are great but choose a calm day. The day we went it was raining and the wind was howling. Apart from the views not much to see apart from the memorial plaque.

Every time I visit NZ I have to go to one tree hill. It has epic views of the city and area. Just make sure you have a nice day since it can be windy and cold up on top.

I would not go to Cornwall Park just to see One Tree Hill, but if you're at the park it is well worth hiking up the hill for the spectacular views. You will also pass beautiful landscaping and local livestock on the way up.
