A visit to the One Tree Hill should be high on any visitor's list of things to do in Auckland. The views from the hill are excellent, and provided visibility is good, you can seen both harbours and many of the other landmarks. As Auckland's weather can be fickle, you might need some luck in getting a great view. The... More

Though NZ has Fresh Air everywhere still it would be different fun climbing the small mount and going above and breathing fresh air in little cold & windy atmosphere. Above you will find a huge Pillar and a man standing ahead of it with a weapon in hand. Nothing so attractive about that guy standing there! This was my first... More

Found the park enjoyable. Nice view from the hill top. Definetely better to leave the car at the bottom and make the trek up. Not very strenuous and worth the fresh air.

Unique farm-ish large hill with farm animals and loads of space to roam around and a 360 view at top. We dinned in the Cafe and it was pleasant. A band was playing in the Rotunder for free and this was lovely to listen to while eating. Loads of Ice Cream vendors and very good for both lovers and families.... More

If you have the time this is another place that try to visit on your trip to Auckland. Fortunately we had a local resident as a guide who also knew quite a bit of history of the area and that really enhanced our visit

On a clear day this has to be the best 360 degree view of the city and suburbs. A steep climb on the Tarmac road or you can drive thro Cornwall Park to the top. There are a few parking spaces on the very top.

When in auckland, this is a must do. The park closes at 9pm so you may not be able to get the night photos. You can drive ALL the way up to the monument, though parking is tight. I highly recommend that drive though. You can also hike up there, which is also a great experience. The whole park is... More

One Tree Hill domain and the neighbouring Cornwall Park are both beautiful grounds with that coutryside feel about them. There were cows grazing, public BBQ's for use, people running / jogging, and just people taking their time to enjoying picnics in the grounds. If walking up to the summit (which I highly recommend) then you can either follow the straightforward... More

I have been in two separate occasions, the first was a cloudy day which meant you couldn't truly appreciate the surroundings! The second time was absolutely beautiful! From the park entrance it's about a 6km round hike (hour and a half with the break at the top) which is relatively easy but steadily uphill so maybe those with bad knees... More

This is the monument at the top of Mount Eden. I thoroughly recommend it, and would recommend walking to the top unless unable due to physical restraints. Please see my review of Mount Eden for more information.
