Mount Eden provides some fantastic views of the city. But in the end, it's just a really big hill. While it is a nice place to visit, it's not a must. Be prepared for the steep walk to the summit. I think spending about 15 to 30 minutes is plenty of time.

I stay quite near to this place and I go there frequently. Its a nice place from where you can see all the part of auckland. You can also see fireworks from skycity clearly from this place specially there will be crowed in new year eve.

Fantastic View of the whole Auckland city from top of the hill. Get to know a bit of history about volcanic eruption in the vary place. Recommended for a day visit which is just 15 min away from the city.

I liked the seen there, Literally you can see most of Auckland from there. my only point is the weather when I was there, it was so cold and unfortunately I didn't take a coat with me to protect me from this coldness. apart from that, the view was amazing

Excellent and worth a look. It is quite a way up the hill so you will probably need to drive up if you are not fit.
