The Viaduct harbor, the home for New Zealand's successful Americas cup challenge, is a bustling place with great restaurants, bars and nightclubs. It's a little expensive, but you can always go down here just for a walk in the evening. It's near the Britomart station and the CBD of Auckland.

It's a short distance from the city center and great for a walk by the sea. There are numerous boat options to choose from, including different ferries and even an adventure jet boat ride with intense speed and sharp turns. You can take a ferry to any of the 3 surrounding islands (Waiheke, Tiritiri, and Rangitoto), depending on what you... More

Auckland Viaduct is a beautiful place to snap up photos worthy of being published on a postcard. It is a real cool place to explore, adore, clear the mind or view the parked vessels. It's beautiful day and night and don't forget to cross the bridge to the Wynyard Quarter and grab a coffee at a nearby cafe.

During my recent stay in Auckland I visited Viaduct Harbour several times. It is a great waterfront location for eating, drinking and generally soaking up the maritime atmosphere. There is a small Maritime museum; many great attractions and activities in which one can engage and many, many boats to admire.

Such a delightful spot to spend half a day, to just wander, great eating cafes and restaurants, and be amazed at the size of the visiting yachts.

A very hip and cool area which has involved. Good restaurants, bars, museums and a beautiful water front during any hour of the day. Definitely worth a stroll! The Events centre is always hosting something exciting!

I was in Auckland for business and had a few hours spare. The viaduct is a great location to sit and unwind, wander around the waters edge and relax. Perfect location in the centre of a city. Love the area.

This is one of my favourite places to go for a walk in Auckland City. There are many different bars and restaurants as well as many different boats to look at. During the summer there are weekend markets, street entertainers and sometimes outdoor movies being shown. The maritime museum is here also.

The viaduct houses a number of super restaurants - Soul, Foodstore and kermadic to name a few. All provide excellent food; service and overall experience. The views out to see and across the harbour also add to the dining experience.
