We walk around there about one hour and it is not as good as we see on travel book. Maybe not lucky.

Viaduct Harbour is Auckland's waterfront, which now consists of offices, up scale apartment houses and restaurants. You see a lot of yachts in the Harbour parked. Also you will see fishing vessels. A nice place to view.

Great place leisurely to walk around. You can easily amble around looking at the many different sizes and styles of yachts or maybe even purchase one that's for sale. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and with the bridge to Wynyard Quarter it opens up yet another experience. Lovely on a nice day to sit outside,... More

We wanted to do something laid back after a full day of traveling to get to New Zealand. This hit the spot. We walked around and visited a restaurant and the park. The kids loved feeding and chasing the birds. It was laid back and casual, perfect way to relax and recover from a long trip.

The Maritime Museum is a great place to start (free entry for Aucklanders only), great content of nations maritime history and americas cup. Many Cafes and restaurants to choose. Several hotels, like the 'Hilton' & 'Copthorne'. Many places to walk, and the pedestrian bridge that links the viaduct, with Wynyard Quarter. Best park in Downtown City Carpark building, easy walk... It was pleasant to visit when the lights were turned on. Nice breezy evening with a cup of coffee amidst the hassle-bustle of the city.
