After reading rave write-ups about Parnell in the Auckland magazines that were spread before me in the Hotel room. This is an older, restored little village. There are many specialty shops & some restaurants. This is fairly close to downtown Auckland and is pretty much walking distance. The Lion brewery is here also. If you're looking for a place to shop for gifts & items that are different from the average shop - this is the place to go. more
