Very nice cafés

I think that was the prettiest part of Auckland. Parnell street with it's old colonial houses and nice cafés. Great place for a stroll.

However, there are some lovely grand old houses, and the cathedral is beautiful along with a... More

Parnell was worth the visit, took dining at a restaurant in this area as a reason to come to this part of Auckland. The things to see are dotted in the area not a condensed village area that was visualised but was nice wandering around before dinner. If you are short for time during a visit to Auckland or hesitant... More

I'm sure it is a really nice place to live but there wasn't much for visitors to see or do here. There were a few nice shops and nice looking cafes, etc, but it wasn't as quaint or picuresque as I was (for some reason, I'm not sure why) expecting.

I spent a pleasant couple of hours strolling this historic village suburb of Auckland. Highlights included the Anglican Cathedral and Jubilee Hall.

Found a Chocolate Boutique where I had a Chocolate Shot with a little chocolate covered marshmallow fish. It was a lot of fun looking through the huge variety of chocolate there.

We went there for lunch the two days we stayed in Parnell. Our waiter, Shiva remembered us the second day, and was very warm and welcoming. They have a lunch special - a fabulous 3 course lunch for $20 - delicious and beautifully prepared! Lunch time extends to 2:00, and we were able to sit on the patio in this... More

Parnell is a quaint little village atmosphere with lovely shops to visit with all types of knick knacks. Fashion is also available for the more discerning and if you feel peckish there are any amount of food places to eat/drink. This is a lovely place for the overseas travellor to spend some time.
