Cute area - great for walking and checking out boutique shops or finding a cute cafe for lunch or brunch.

I am from New Zealand and on my trips to Auckland usually always enjoy a side trip to Parnell Precinct, a $10 to $15 taxi ride from the CBD. A lot of shops with genuine New Zealand crafted products. No malls with chain stores her sorry. Be it jade/greenstone/pounamu carvings, possum merino knitwear (a super warm and soft yarn used... More

Parnell was once charming but no longer. It's Boring, overrated, only a small handful of eateries. No decent shops or atmosphere.

Parnel Road is advertised as a boutique suburb lined with boutique store and many eateries to suit an budget. I actually stayed in the area but was disappointed with all the construction going on in the street and to many buildings in the area. I guess it was poor timing but the construction took away many car spots which did... More

Parnell is a lovely suburb! If u walk from britomart just keep walking through beach road to the parnell rise, here on the left a lovely park! U can find very interesting gallery and shops, bar and little restaurants! I really suggest the french market during the weekend in the morning!

Parnell Road is home to an interesting collection of little boutique shops as well as other businesses. Old homes have been converted to quaint coffee shops and the tone in generally upmarket. One of the lovely parts of Auckland central.

Lot's of average cafes, a few good ones. Some boutique shops, but mostly average. Nice enough place for a stroll on a sunny day. I preferred getting away from central Parnell to the French Market and around to the rose gardens, now that was cool!
