It is a shame that tourists who come to Auckland do not realize that we have some very nice shopping in New Zealand. I do not think Queen Street is a good example or show-case for Auckland. More

What fun it is to walk down, being involved with the busy lives of city people, (when your form the open spaces of a small town), only thing I would love to do is to make it SMOKE FREE!!!! the whole street because, of the high buildings seemed to just be full of smoke. What a place it would become... More

Must say, the remake of Queen St has made it much more enjoyable and the range of shops is really good. Lots of good window shopping and thank goodness they have retained some of the lovely old buildings. More

Boring stores, boring food. Lower Queen Street has no class. The side streets however bleed class. Middle Queen St has culture even with the St James closed. Always take up the opportunity for a show at the Civic it is a beautiful stage. Skip the proletariat Event cinema. Aotea Square is good for events depending on what they are...and there... More

Nice area to trek around and look at nifty shops. Excellent exercise to walk off some of those wonderful takeaway foods you find along the way. More

Have watched this area over my lifetime go from a must visit place when i was a child to avoid at all costs. Get act together and tidy it up. Millions on trees is no use when you have slum shops there More

It is a bit impersonal without much character. At night it can seem very unwelcoming. (it seems to be constantly being worked on/renovated) More
