The most glorious trees where children and dogs abound (under leash of course). About ten minutes by car from the CBD. Cafes adjacent with excellent coffees.

I was feeling incredibly let down by Auckland until I came to Cornwall Park. It was absolutely beautiful here! Imagine almost fluorescent-green grass and walking along the paths lined by beautiful trees. There's also a paddock sort-of area where some cute cows are, and you can go into it as well, if you wish. Then, walk up One Tree Hill... More

This area is a jewel in Auckland, Century old trees line the avenues entry, greenery everywhere, beautiful plants, shrubs and flowers. It is well used by the locals for all sorts of activities. I highly recommend a visit here.

I spent a lovely afternoon here with my wife during our stay in Auckland and had a great time. It was really nice seeing the entire park grounds and walking around in the early summer weather. If I lived in Auckland this would be a place I would frequent. One Tree Hill was stunning as well and the views of... More

This a large oasis of green around the volcanic cone of One Tree Hill, or Maungakiehikei. Many people use it every day, for walking, cycling, or in their car to drive to the summit or to the restaurant. As well as sports fields it contains a working farm, with sheep and cattle. The trees are magnificent.

Auckland's inner city can seem squalid in a Hong Kong kind of way, so it's great the city has coastlines and parks to retreat to when Queen Street's oppression becomes unbearable. Cornwall Park, incorporating Maungakiekie/ One Tree Hill's volcanic cone and domain, is one of Auckland's most majestic gifts, and a sanctuary for locals and travellers alike. It incorporates designed... More

This is as close to true English countryside that you will get in New Zealand in my opinion. Beautiful old trees, cattle, old stone walls and walks to the top of One Tree hill. Another must do for anyone visiting Auckland.

Just like a popular postcard seen in the tourist shops, this is a beautiful place to visit all year, but in the spring it is especially good. This is a wonderful park so close to Auckland city, and is well worth a visit. Although the wonderful cafe is closed at present for renovations, it is worth taking a picnic lunch... More

This is part of One Tree Hill Domain, and One Tree Hill itself, so I reviewed One Tree Hill, and my comments are all in there. So, I suggest you check out this as well as reviews on Cornwall Park.
