Stopped in and had a wander around for an hour. Can't say I liked anything on display apart from the big bubbles that were outside.

This is a truly great art gallery with old and new art. Light Show was great. Catch it in Sydney if you miss it in Auckland.

Modern art meets old, contemporary meets impressionist. And that's just the building! Always lots of interesting exhibitions to attend as well as just meandering around the gallery and enjoying their 'fixed' art pieces. Beautiful building, light, airy, very clean and spacious. Highly recommended. Love that's it's on my doorstep so I can enjoy anytime. Enjoy!

If your tired of hitting the shops, then this makes a nice break. Its a beautiful gallery with colourful, informative exhibits and a nice cafe on the 1st level where you can relax and enjoy a coffee. The kauri timber is exquisite and as it says in the poster, the kauri was sourced from existing stocks - no trees were... More

We enjoyed the variety of exhibits and learning more about the history of New Zealand through the art there. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a fun way to spend a few hours and a nice surprise.

Bigger and with more depth than I'd expect for a city of Auckland's size. The exhibits were fun and well- put- together, with lots of interactivity. I went to a lecture on the spur of the moment, which was entertaining and I learned a lot.

Loved the gallery. Gorgeous building. Good NZ artist exhibition which was interesting. Light show amazing. Lego display cool and interactive -we saw adults and kids alike constructing really creative pieces. Cafe was cool with nice range of food. Location and shop excellent. Really nice afternoon out in Auckland. Wasn't huge but nice selection

It took me only 30' to visit the gallery and nothing provided any emotion. the best part was the LEGO design at the entrance: a city in white little bricks. but the gallery is in a beautiful park (Albert's Park).

The building itself is a gem of new and old architecture. Good signage to help you find your way and a clear path of exhibits. Very helpful staff. We enjoyed the exhibits, lighting, signage and overall presentation. A lovely museum.
