If you don't have long in Auckland a harbour cruise is a good way to spend some time and get a feel of the place. Helpful commentary, tea/coffee and a snack as part of the deal and 10 minutes on a volcanic island: what's not to like? They also give you a trip across to Devonport as part of the... More

Had arrived in Auckland at 5.30am & it rained all day but still enjoyed this tour around the harbour. Went on the 10.30am ferry. Tickets are $42 which includes a hot drink & a choice of muffins/brownies etc. There was informative commentary and a return ticket to Devonport at a later date. Despite the weather it was still enjoyable

5 adults (3 generations ) all enjoyed it we sat out the back didn't get wet even when we had a brief shower, nice to have a free hot drink, only downside the loud speakers with the commentary was a bit muffled

Too expensive in view that oil prices have come down as of late. Felt that the skipper was rushing the tour a little. would probably go again if prices where cheaper next time.

I enjoyed the harbour cruise as a way to get a sense of Auckland and it's surroundings. The captain gave an informative commentary about the nearby islands and their history. It was a 2-3 hour afternoon that was well spent.

If you are just taking the cruise because of a short visit to Auckland its ok. If you are visiting Waiheke then do not bother with the cruise as you will see the same things on your way to the island.I could not understand the commentary very well from outside you need to stay inside to understand it.You do get... Great cruise with a good commentary. Good comfortable boat. Would recommend good wind protection if one wants to sit in the open upper deck. The cruise offered a hot beverage.

This is a scenic cruise of 1 1/2 hours duration It generally runs twice each day The captain of our boat was female, a very good driver and an excellent commentator [take note Mr Fuller] I understand she is the only female boat captain It goes to Devonport island [on the way passing a long series of posts in the... If you want to just chill, bask in the sea breeze, and take in the views of the islands, the city, and the harbour, this would be a perfect trip for you. It's quite a quick trip. We made a short stop at rangitoto island because some passengers got off there. The nzd 42 includes a hot beverage and muffin... More

If you only have a short amount of time this is a good trip. We managed to see several pods of killer whales which was a bonus. There is a short stop over at one of the volcanic islands which is a bit brief
