The Wallace Arts Centre is situated inside the historic Pah Homestead, set in the grounds of one of Auckland's best kept secrets, Monte Cecilia park. The arts centre showcases some of New Zealand's best local internationally known artists & is certainly worth visiting.

This is a beautiful building filled with a wonderful and varied collection of contemporary New Zealand art works. Lunch and coffee at the cafe was pleasant enough and certainly tasty...possibly a little light for the price? Extensive, manicured grounds surrounding the building are an added bonus. This is really a pearl and worth a visit, particularly for art buffs.

Built in the 1870's now houses art work and changing exhibitions with a Gift shop. A café onsite caters for inside and outside seating on the verandah with a peaceful setting. Has large grounds with rare and exotic trees and outside artwork. Good parking and well worth a visit.

Visited recently. Unfortunately did not get to appreciate the homestead ,grounds or exhibition due to lack of time. Worth a return visit from what was seen. However next time will steer clear of the overpriced cafe and its exceptionally rude staff! Never experienced anything like it before. Had we not been meeting relatives for afternoon tea would have left. They... More

I couldn't find the actual homestead listed on Trip Advisor but the TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre is housed within The Pah Homestead. If your into old buildings this is a must see. This magnificent homestead was built between 1877 and 1879. It was the largest and most expensive house in Auckland at the time of its build. Entry is... More

Beautifully renovated with an ever changing art collection, eclectic, interesting and thoughtful. Lovely helpful staff, nice cafe and grounds, and we even purchased a piece from the shop. Really enjoyable outing, easy parking, fab loos also. Cafe was busy, seating on the verandah -- seems to be the default lunch option also for the yummy mummies and oldie brigade. Good place... More

Stopped at this spot for morning tea with my 9 month old. Set in a gorgeous park setting, Pah Homestead is a restored house with a wrap around veranda so there is plenty of outside seating, each with stunning views. There's not a lot of seating inside so make sure you go on a good day. It was quite busy... More

The Pah Homestead / TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre, located in the grounds of Monte Cecilia Park, is one of Auckland's premier cultural destinations. The Arts Centre opened to the public in August 2010. The historic Pah Homestead was restored by the Auckland City Council from 2009 to 2010 as the new home of the James Wallace Arts Trust and... If you are on a short time table in Auckland, this is probably not a top attraction. But, if you have some time, it is a lovely place to visit. The house is very interesting. The cafe is excellent - the food is good and sitting on the veranda overlooking the sculpture garden is really nice. The grounds are very... More
