Beautifully renovated with an ever changing art collection, eclectic, interesting and thoughtful. Lovely helpful staff, nice cafe and grounds, and we even purchased a piece from the shop. Really enjoyable outing, easy parking, fab loos also. Cafe was busy, seating on the verandah -- seems to be the default lunch option also for the yummy mummies and oldie brigade. Good place... More

Stopped at this spot for morning tea with my 9 month old. Set in a gorgeous park setting, Pah Homestead is a restored house with a wrap around veranda so there is plenty of outside seating, each with stunning views. There's not a lot of seating inside so make sure you go on a good day. It was quite busy... More

The Pah Homestead / TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre, located in the grounds of Monte Cecilia Park, is one of Auckland's premier cultural destinations. The Arts Centre opened to the public in August 2010. The historic Pah Homestead was restored by the Auckland City Council from 2009 to 2010 as the new home of the James Wallace Arts Trust and... If you are on a short time table in Auckland, this is probably not a top attraction. But, if you have some time, it is a lovely place to visit. The house is very interesting. The cafe is excellent - the food is good and sitting on the veranda overlooking the sculpture garden is really nice. The grounds are very... More

Looked at the gallery with the newest purchases AND they are terrible !!!!. I'm assuming our rates are subsidising the exhibition of one person's very narrowly focussed art whim. There is so much great art being produced here in nZ so it's a shame that it's not getting the chance to be shown- instead we have 3rd rate stuff. Stay... More

A lovely place with a welcoming atmosphere - the parkland is stunning, and it is surprisingy little-known by most Aucklanders. The comparison with Osborne House in the UK is a little fanciful, but in its own terms it is a real treat. Foremost in any visit will be the superb café, which has quality written through all its choices. With... More

Very pleasant place to spend a few hours eating & then viewing art while enjoying beautiful views or a stroll in the grounds enjoying the views.

Have visited the beautiful grounds and art centre several times and it is a great place to visit. The displays change often. We saw an amazing sculpture display by Terry Stringer and just recently the Wallace art awards. A wonderful display of high quality art all very different. Cafe is great and there is free parking. Entry by donation/Koha.
