Had 1/2 day before our flight back to USA. The Information booth suggested the Bus.. Price was $ 40 NZD. Commentary was weak and because of trees and large bushes not much could be seen even from the double deck bus for 1/2 of route and regular bus for blue route. If you have time and will be stopping at... More

We were in town really for one day and only had a couple of hours. This was a great way to get that overview. What I really appreciated was the one hour version in which you weren't allowed to get off /on the bus but was about half the cost. I don't see this option very often on a hop... More

This hop on hop off bus was very popular which meant it was also very crowded. We wanted to sit up top of the double decker bus as is advertised but found it difficult to do so because of the crowds. If you had time to work out the public transport bus routes it would be significantly cheaper.

This is a wonderful service if you have limited time and want to see the main sites of Auckland. It stops at 9+ sites and picks up approx. every 30 minutes. Modern double-decker bus, very comfortable. It has a very informative pre-recorded commentary on all the sites to be visited and you can get off/on at any time within the... More

The bus' stops were solid and commentary was good as well but there are two lines. One comes every half hour. The other every hour! I'm used to hop ons and offs coming every 15-20 mins. It seriously cut down our tour time and limited the places we could see. Especially since the buses stop at 4:30. This is a... More

What a great way to see Auckland without the problems of trying to find your way in a city you don't know. We did both the Red and Blue bus and thoroughly enjoyed it. Being able to get on and off as we pleased was great. Great value for money.

A reliable & enjoyable way to see the city if you have limited time. Accurate time tables and knowledgeable & helpful drivers plus you can buy the ticket direct on the bus if you have cash. Highly recommend. NB Eden Park Gardens (one of the stops) was stunning :-D

When I go visiting new places I like to do a HOHO as it’s usually the best way to see a city however having done a full/extensive tour earlier on in our stay in Auckland, I tended to use the main loop as a way to get around the city and it was the satellite loop which I enjoyed best/behaved... We were disappointed somewhat with this hop on hop off bus. Not many stops and didn't seem to go to many interesting places. There was a timetable but buses were either late or early. We have been on quite a number of hop on hop off buses and this one was expensive and less organised in comparison to other (better)... More

As the bus name suggests, it is a very good way to explore Auckland. The good thing is, you can switch to a different route via the Satellite bus that you can catch from Auckland Museum. The commentary is via speakers, so you don't have to plu ear plugs. It offers a variety of stops. We got the 2 day... More
