Just had a brief visit here but so worth it. Came across the art and craft market. Nice cafes and shops. Only a 12 min by ferry from Auckland CBD so a great way to fill in a couple of hours.

A short ferry ride, it decompresses the busy Auckland. Stroll around the village and walk (don't take the bus) up the hill for a great view of Auckland. Nice places for lunch on the street. Lots of shops. Touristy.

Went by ferry from Auckland harbour, takes about 15 mins. Lovely place to have lunch as there are many places to eat. Take a look at the shops then stroll along the waterside or just sit and watch the boats on the water. You can climb mount Victoria or visit North Head.

A ten-minute ferry from Auckland CBD and you enter another slower paced tranquil world. Great beaches in easy walking distance and lovely restaurants.

This part of Auckland is a really delightful place with a pleasant slight old fashioned feel. The views from mount Victoria are almost as good as that from the sky tower but a lot more peaceful.

Devonport is well worth a visit, either by ferry or car. There are excellent walks, a lot of history, and shops that you find nowhere else. If you love browsing second hand bookshops then this is definitely a place for you. Numerous places for refreshments.

Pleasant trip across the bay on the regular ferry. Some interesting shops and galleries to browse and a nice cafe culture vibe.

Lovely place to spend half a day of leisure and fun with the family and friends. Lots of good places to eat, for different budgets. Lots of things to do with younger children.
