Fun and friendly crew. They invite you to participate in setting the sails and give everybody and opportunity to "drive" the boat. The crew is great, very helpful and informative. The views you get from the water are amazing. It feels great to get out in the wind on the water. We had a great time. More

I confess an interest in sailing (I'm a yacht instructor!) - but surely anyone who wants an exciting & unique experience would get a lot out of a 2hr trip on an 80ft America's Cup racing yacht - fabulous views of the city & Rangitoto Island, a friendly & fun crew - you get to take the helm if you... Went out on Auckland Day for a sail and got to see dozens upon dozens of boats out for the regatta and just sailing. It was a beautiful sight, as well as the views of Auckland. Staff were fun and helpful. Not much different than other America's Cup sails, but still a nice time out on the water, and always... More

The 4 of us went out on the boat as a last day treat before we went back to the UK. The weather was fine but not too hot, just perfect for a day on the water and what a fabulous time we had. We were allowed to steer the boat and learned how to hoist sails on a racing... More

Sailing on a real America's Cup yacht in 25kn winds on Auckland Harbour is a must-do if you are in the city and have the slightest interest in sailing, or pretty much even if you don't. Real action, real sailing - they need 12 to sail the boat, but only have 5 crew, meaning guests have to grind the sail... More

One doesn't have to compete to enjoy an exciting two hours on the water. Now in my early seventies, it was great to to have a new experience, either as one of the eight "grinders" manning the sail winches, having a turn at the wheel, or just hanging on! The no more than twenty passengers are expected to pitch in... More

My wife and I did the 2hr cruise on NZL 41 while we were in Auckland. The day was extremely windy, but the crew got us out on the water using the front sail only. We still had a great time and saw full-race cruising speeds. This was a great way to see Auckland from the water, and pretty exciting... More

I did the 2 hour Auckland America’s Cup Sailing Experience (not the match racing) as it wasn't offered on the day I wanted to go. It was an enjoyable experience but I believe that match racing would be more fun as the race itself would take around an hour and it would be competitive for both the crew and participants.... More

The true fun of this experience is working a as a member of the crew. Manning the winches to adjust the sheets and taking the wheel of an America's Cup racing at full speed in Auckland Harbor is one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. An absolute must-do. More

This was a truly unforgettable experience and a fantastic way to fully appreciate the beautiful water that surrounds the City of Sails. From the moment we stepped onto the America's cup yacht, the crew were fantastic. Right from the start they encouraged us to participate in as much or as little of the actual sailing of the boat as we... More
