... this was one of the best things about my vacation. It was great history and a great tour of the country. I have some amazing pictures and information. I like the cultural aspect and hearing different stories of beliefs and rituals. My guide made it very comfortable and I could ask a bunch of questions. This tour helped me... more

This is a must for anyone coming to New Zealand. We had only one full day to see as must as we could and the tour with Potiki Adventures made that possible. This tour was the best and we left feeling as if we had a real understanding of NZ and the Maori history and we couldn't achieved that with... more

I just want to let everybody know shortly about the awesome tour (Urban Maori Experience) I had with Potiki when I was in Auckland, New Zealand. I didn´t just want to experience the normal tourist sights, but also get to know the traditional Maori culture. The wonderful thing was that everything on the tour was natural and nothing was staged.... more

This review is being posted rather late relative to my experience, but I wanted to make sure I told everyone about this wonderful company. I came across them when I stopped in Auckland with my friend on a backpacking trip this Spring. I was in the North Island for 2 weeks and spent a total of 3 days with Potiki,... more

I will stay in Auckland for some months and, of course, I want to see, learn and experience as much as possible of the city, its surroundings and the country itself. A one day discovery tour through Auckland and the surrounding area appeared to be the perfect start for me. However, it was important to me that I won’t only... more

What an amazing day we spent with Melissa in Auckland. It was informative, beautiful and FUN! Learned so much about the Maori culture, and got to see it on many levels throughout the day. The beach and the rain forest were breathtaking, and the stories and history invaluable. If you are in Auckland, you MUST do this! more

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and decided to go on this tour because it was a small group tour that focused on urban Maori culture rather than the "touristy"stuff. At the end of the trip, we were both very touched by Melissa's passion, warmth, and took away with us lifelong lesons. The tour was truly outstanding, Melissa... more

When my traveling companions suggested a guided tour of Auckland, I was less than excited. We were picked up by Bianca and Melissa and whisked away in a comfortable van. They weren't the usual boring tour guides. Both are of Maori descent and know the Maori history of the area and some interesting people, such as local artists. I was... more
