I was really looking forward to this morning on a NZ steam railway. It was all I expected and more all the staff were so so friendly and helpful. We take a teddy bear " Leyton Orient " on holiday and take pictures in different places to email to our grandchildren, both the driver of the steam engine and the... More

There has obviously been a lot of with go into the whole railway. We went on a wet day but the enthusiasm of volunteers was obvious. A good chance to Derek what it was like in the steam age.

From the time we got to Glenbrook the station there was a hive of activity from the volunteers getting ready for their day to the Steam Engine rolling in to hook up to the carriages. This is a full day that the whole family can enjoy, the ticket office opens around 10:00am and the first train leaves for Waiuku at... More

We took our two kids to Glenbrook Station over the weekend with the Waiuku Christmas display and they absolutely loved it, friendly staff and a great atmosphere there to boot! The train was a great experience not only for the kids but me and my partner too! Loved the whole trip there and back and would recommend this for anyone... More

We visited as part of an organised tour. As a volunteer myself, I know the importance of keeping things going. We had a brilliant couple of hours at Glenbrook. Steam trains hold a fascination for all ages. After a trip on Diana we spent some time in the sheds, even finding equipment made close to where we live in Lincoln!!... More

I went there with my now adult boys and teenage daughter and my boys girlfriends. It was one of the weekends that they had Thomas the Tank engine there with his friends too.

We have a 3 year old and have been to the Thomas the Tank Engine days they put on out at Glenbrook twice now. These days really are so much fun, and the kids absolutely love them. I'm sure we will be back again in the future.

Visited as part of a tour group. All pre-arranged. Welcomed by a group of excited volunteers, all very proud of their achievements in restoring, maintaining and operating the steam engine and carriages. Driver certainly put the engine through its paces between the Station and Waiuku. Visited the Depot for informative tour and details and background of the effort to maintain... More

My wife and I went to Glenbrook vintage railway for the harvest festival. We had a ride on the train which in my opinion is the best steam train ride on the North Island, look forward to going again one day and hopefully I can ride on the foot plate!
