I was just reading several of the TripAdvisor's comments; all were full of praise, and the photos on Google Images show you why. As a school kid we were 'shepherded' into this cathedral at regular intervals. It always felt old, very large and the 'oldness' and ancient style architecture somehow told us all just how old our religion was. The... More

The restoration work done on this Cathedral, the blend of old and new, is quite awesome. We went along on Christmas Eve for the late Carol service, never having been there before but having just arrive from Sydney wanting to attend a service that evening. A decent stroll from our hotel brought us to this marvellous place. Of course we... More

No need to book just rock up and purchase sticker at the counter. I am a world traveller and this cathedral ranks up as the best ever. It is a great place to get out of the heat and have done the tour in. winter to escape the cold...giggling.... This is a local icon and well worth it absolutely stunning... More

Tours only on Tuesday and you need to book in advance. I only had the chance to visit the outside which is very interesting, you can see the different styles and relax for a while in the grass.

You are always welcome to come inside too, whether a tour is in progress or not. Places on the tours do not need to be booked in advance - tickets are available at the church office... More

Had a wonderful tour of this magnificent cathedral, costs $5 for a very informative tour. Even had someone playing the organ for us well worth a visit.

Beautiful & impressive. Lovely and welcoming. Say hi to Fr Brennan. He's a super star. Can never quite catch the souvenir person though. Masses run every day, otherwise, it is still a beautiful piece of architecture as the renovations are quite distinct from the original building, and although I used to dislike them, I can now appreciate them as a... St Mary's is a real mix of old and new. We went to a full sung mass which took over an hour, but if you just want to look around make sure you check when the services are on and avoid them. ;) I was disappointed with the accoustics so maybe sit near the front if you want to hear... More

I haven't seen so many catholic churches in Australia... that's one of the best... It's very close to the CBD, just take the Red line bus.

What a totally amazing Cathedral. A fantastic mix of old and new blended so well together! Have visited many church's and cathedral's around the world and this is up there with one of the best. Congratulations Perth for having such a beautiful place to visit.

A very nice church with very friendly people attending the mass. The architecture of the building is superb and blends between the old and the new. It's also a good place to think as the atmosphere inside is peaceful.
