St Mary's is a real mix of old and new. We went to a full sung mass which took over an hour, but if you just want to look around make sure you check when the services are on and avoid them. ;) I was disappointed with the accoustics so maybe sit near the front if you want to hear... More

I haven't seen so many catholic churches in Australia... that's one of the best... It's very close to the CBD, just take the Red line bus.

What a totally amazing Cathedral. A fantastic mix of old and new blended so well together! Have visited many church's and cathedral's around the world and this is up there with one of the best. Congratulations Perth for having such a beautiful place to visit.

A very nice church with very friendly people attending the mass. The architecture of the building is superb and blends between the old and the new. It's also a good place to think as the atmosphere inside is peaceful.

Attended a family wedding and it was the most beautiful experience. Stunning architecture, lovely manicured grounds and unexpectedly ample parking. The interior with its stained glass windows is so peaceful and beautiful and the cathedral choir struck just the right note (pardon the pun) with their heavenly singing.

This is a stunning piece of mixing the old with the new. The original structure has lost none of its sense of quiet beauty whilst the new has made it light bright and welcoming. So lovely to sit in quiet reflection for a short or long time.

I attended mass here on a Saturday evening. It was a beautiful experience in the wonderfully light and airy cathedral that has been so sympathetically extended. The older parts of the Cathedral have some magnificent stained glass. The singing is led by a cantor and the 45 minute service was just the right length.

This Cathedral is a great example of blending the old and new. It is a great place to get some quiet time and reflect on how lucky we are to live in a country like Australia and the beautiful city of Perth. It is a spiritual place with a peaceful and beautiful ambience….

I was interested in visiting this cathedral, as it has the same namesake as the cathedral in Sydney, but this edifice must had had a massive face-lift. It is so beautiful inside, quite breathtaking. I only had a small amount of time to visit -it was quite close to the Travelodge Hotel where I was staying.

We made a last minute bid to get to mass on time with the sparse details we had to hand. It was worth the rush as this is a beautiful venue. Beautiful building. Designed so that everyone has a clear view and is included in the ceremony.
