I walked in on a Sunday morning and the Mass had just gotten over... Such a huge crowd of people were coming out... The building itself was so magnificent with the Artwork all around and the stain glass that has been there since ages was just so beautiful. The grounds are also very well maintained and lush green.

St Mary's Cathedral is an interesting building in Perth. If you want a quiet place to pray, here it is. If you're interested in architecture - again, this is the place. Most of the building is Gothic from 1936. It was finished in 2005, and unfortunately modern architects were involved. Nevertheless, their interference could have been much worse. A tour... More

I really enjoyed the equilibrated fusion of architectures where you can see a blending modern style with the original style of the church.

Our catholic cathedral in the centre of the CBD where you can get away from the busy city and spend reflective time with God. It is very popular for the catholic community who have a city residence. being opposite a major hospital 'Royal Perth' it is very convenient for people who have loved ones who are in hospital.

Small but interesting. Unless cathedrals are you thing the visit won't take long. Some interesting features. Location means it is easy to visit while looking at other sites near the city centre.

St Mary's Church sits next to the Royal Perth Hospital, on CAT Bus (Red) Stop #26. Outside of this huge church is magnificent, gorgeous facade, unforunately I did not have time to stop to go inside, but I would assume if the outside is this nice, I can only imagine the decour inside. Worth a look!

St Mary's Cathedral is a great demonstration of how old can meet new. The Cathedral is has been altered to extend its size and architecturally this has been done well. It was very peaceful.

After major renovations completed sometime ago, this church is a great refuge of peace and reflection.

It has been a couple of years since the changes to this beautiful cathedral finally completing it. it stands opposite Royal Perth Hospital so it is best you walk up from the city and it is a lovely walk amongst the big tress. Wheelchairs are fine along this walk as well. The cathedral misses some of the old charm it... More
