Opened to the public once a year. Government house has stunning gardens and our governor of Western Australia lives here.

The gardens are open to the public 3 days a week between 12 - 2pm. The gardens are small to medium size with a lovely pond at the back of the property, along with benches to sit and read, enjoy your lunch and the gardens. Try to get a spot in the sun in winter as it's cool in the... More

I went to government with my husband on a ball on their ball room and the place is beautiful. Even has some story, a murder . Worth visiting.

Attended the Royal Perth Yacht Club's Sesquicentennial Ball, and the ballroom was perfect for the 150 guests. Built in 1890 as an addition to Government House, it really is the best venue of its kind in Perth.

During my week in Perth on holidays the garden wasn't open to the public but from what I could see from the street, the garden look to be lovely I could wish that it was open to public so that I could have a good look around.

Although the gardens aren't generally open to the public, you can still have a decent view of them just by walking along Adelaide Terrace and looking over the fence. The building is also interesting and worth a few moments to admire the architecture (although again, access is restricted).

At the midpoint people are invited to take a guided tour through part of the House, then they are thanked for their attendance. I feel it's formulaic but it works for them... More

Been there for a couple of functions. IT really is a beautiful venue with lots of character. It gives an event a sense of grandeur.
