I spent just a few hours on a windy May day. The beach was spotlessly clean (except for a bit of seaweed!) FAB.
I had the opportunity to take a short ride from Perth via train to Cottesloe Beach and watch the sunset. The best train stop is the Grant Street Exit. Gorgeous beach to walk along, amazing views into the distance. A great vibe with so many people walking, running, swimming, surfing, eating. Perfect for families. Many places for great coffee & food.
Great pub at Cottelsloe as well as Yelo cafe further up towards Trigg bch. The surf can be a bit dangerous but on a calm day a magnificent beach to picnic at.

Take the train and get off at Cottesloe station. Walk to the end of the platform (opposite end from the bridge) and walk down the path and Forrest street is across the street. Walk down Forrest street and it takes you right into the beachside. The beach is nice with clear water and white sand and great for people watching....
