The island is a short ferry ride away, and well worth visiting. We had only 1.5 hours there, but could have spent more time exploring the island. Should have taken a picnic! The Little Penguins are adorable!

Had a great day out today - last day of the season (3 June) so now it's closed for 3 months. Beautiful day and our guide/captain on the boat was very entertaining! Highly recommend doing the penguin feeding, learnt lots of facts. Was a shame we couldn't swim as the island is gorgeous. Will be back in summer and might...

If you get here early you can take the short ferry ride to the Island and walk the tours before the crowds. I would recommend adding the penguin feeding option to your ticket. They are a must see attraction. South of the Island are the best picnic spots and away from the crowds.
Hi there, thanks for the comment and rating! We are glad you enjoyed your day on Penguin Island.
Future customers please note that we recommend coming in advance during busy season (summer time).

We enjoyed our day trip to PENGUIN ISLAND. After many visits to PERTH over the years we finally got to spend day here and were so glad we did. It was the last week in March, the waters were to rough to go some days, so i'm glad we did not buy our tickets in advance. Because it was the...

We purchased the penguin and sea lion package, expecting to see lively sea lions. Note that the sea lion package is an additional 45min cruise. However, we visited during a season where the sea lions prefer to lay around on the island looking fat and bathing in the sun - seriously, that's what the tour guide told us. The tour...

Started with a cruise round the various islands before going onto Penguin Island. Glass bottom boat did not reveal much however we did see dolphins, ospreys, seals, cormorants, terns pelicans and other raptors. Penguin Island is lovely to walk round and as previous reviewer stated you don't get to see penguins in the wild as they are shy or out...

Really nice to take a ferry ride to Penguin Island from near Rochkingham. The island itself is not spectacular, but does have nice views and for overseas visitors is something different. The penguins are very cute and it is worth seeing a show. The Rockingham region itself is just a really nice laid back place, we rented a beachhouse in...

Went to Penguin Island in April 2013 after seeing the brochure. I expected there to be many penguins to see in the wild, I was mistaken. I became suspect about actually seeing a penguin after the sales clerk said she had seen a penguin "once." I'm giving the rating a two based purely on the Penguin attraction. The park has...

Hi John, thanks for taking the time t review your trip!
As the brochure and our website states, there is more than a 1000 Little Penguins calling Penguin Island home. They are wild animals and as all Little Penguins, in the morning they head out to sea to feed and come back after sunset. The ones that stay behind will...
