Watch Gold being pored, coins made and see some of Western Australia's history. Extensive range of gold, coins, jewelery and souvenirs for purchase. tour guides have good knowledge of the history of the Mint and early gold history.

We opted for the tour at $50 for a family of 4. The guide assembled us outside the building, told us some of the history of the building and then led us inside to view a one tonne gold coin, worth $49 million, give or take a million, depending on gold prices. After watching a brief video, we witnessed a... More

Interesting and informative. With the price of gold now its nice to see it being poured up close. The talk is good but short. Its worth it just to wander around the place, and finish up with a good snack.

This was more interesting than I expected. I enjoyed the talk and the gold pour and a look around the building while waiting for the tour to start.

This was a must for anyone travelling to Perth to visit. Educational and very interesting. Gift shop prices were quite reasonable as well as tour. Found making the gold bar absolutely amazing. A must see !!

It was about a year ago, my wife and i decided to spend the day in the city, we got to the Perth Mint and thought Wow, this is the place where it all happens. We were just in time to see a gold pour, which was really fascinating to see those big ingots form from a lump of gold,... More

A lot of history in this beautiful old building which is maintained to a high standard. Enjoyed the display area, the informative talk and especially the gold pour! Even if you are not an avid collector of coins, this is where you can view/purchase single or sets of coins and jewellery. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try the restaurant.... More

I took my nephew to see the gold pour and tour the Perth Mint and it was extremely worthwhile and informative. The gold pour is done in one of the old parts of the building where there is quite a good museum relating to the perth mint and the gold industry in Western Australia. Lots to look at and really... The melting of the gold was the best part and worthwhile seeing. However the short talk beforehand although very informative was too brief. I was expecting the tour to continue after viewing the gold smelter and surprised that that was the end of it.

Beautiful historic building in superbly maintained grounds. Gold coins and jewellery available for purchase. Gold pour at certain times of day. Small cafe in pleasant setting. Nearby St Mary's Cathedral also worth a look.
