Evening view of lighted building

An evening stroll past the lite building is well worth the effort. Such a beautiful building and so well maintained from the out side.

A worthwhile experience. We enjoyed the guided tour. The entry fee was modest. We took the free bus which stopped just a very short walk from the mint. The stop is called Perth Mint.

The tour starts with a brief narrative of the history of the mint. There are exhibition rooms inside but the highlight has to be seeing real gold melted and formed inside! If you've seen it before somewhere else, skip this unless you intend to buy gold. Gold are being sold here too! It would've been a 5-star rating if photos... More

My 14 year old loved it, especially the gold pouring part. You should bring your kids, it's very entertaining, history, huge dollar coin and the videos. it's very interesting story of Western Australia, a must visit. Unfortunately the photography inside is not allowed, and i was looking forward to all the pictures with lot's of gold, but no...anyway it's fun.

Went to the mint today and did the 11:30am tour. The young male tour guide was fantastic - great knowledge and attitude. Kids loved seeing the gold, watching the pour and trying to pick up the 12kg gold bar. Well priced and attraction. Would highly recommend.

This is a good outing for school's or primary school children. It can be expensive for families with entry fees being priced a little high.

Pretty close to downtown area. Small but filled with lot of information inside the mint. Interesting guide tour and can experience how to make a gold brick. Definitely worth visiting

The Mint is a must if you're in Perth. The tour guide was excellent and funny. We watched melting and pouring of gold in a bullion, which was fascinating. A lot of souvenirs and jewellery to purchase, you can have your own coin engraved. Tours start every 30 minutes past the hour. As long as you keep your wrist band... More

A well presented history lesson in regard to early discoveries of gold in the west, and the rationale for the establishment of the mint as a remote "branch" of the Royal Mint.

THis is a terrific tour that kept all 3 of our boys (9,8, and 4 ) engaged! It is varied in its presentation of information. Plenty to look at and learn about gold - including history, largest gold coin, nuggets, gold pouring ( which was really great) and hands on experience. Short well put together dvd. Jasmine was our tour... More
