The range and array of coins is particularly good and interesting and the the other gift lines are great as well. The tours... More

Visiting the shop and cafe is free. The tour at $19 per person is reasonable value. The talk is interesting as is seeing the gold being poured. The video is a bit dull but is only short. The exhibition area is interesting and you can get weighed to see your value in gold which is a bit of fun. Worth... More

Not exciting or a day out but a short stop yes! This is a very interesting place to pop in. The staff are fun and friendly and the gold absolutely beautiful to see. Get a fresh minted copper coin and talk to the people there are many stories to be told. I recommend a stop off from the City free... More

I recently visited the Perth Mint to Purchase Coins but took the opportunity to go on the tour of the Perth Mint it was a excellent tour showing all of the preparations to minting coins and would readily recommend it to both tourists and locals.

A trip to the historic Perth Mint is well worth the visit. The Mint was built in the 1800's and was established as a branch of the Royal Mint of London. I really enjoyed the tour and the place in general. A bit expensive, but nothing that wouldn't be expected for this kind of places.

The Perth Mint is possibly one of the most interesting places to visit in Perth. So historical, so interesting, so educational,so much to see, so much to buy and can even be rounded off with a cuppa and cake. So well worth the extra few steps outside the main are of the city.
