Really enjoyed visiting the mint. Lots of information about the history of gold mining, minting, etc. An excellent guided tour, videos, interactive displays, melting of gold ingot demonstration. You can also find out how much your weight in gold is really worth!

Loved the experience of visiting the Perth Mint. The tour guide was really good and very informative. The highlight is the gold pour. You can also weigh yourself and see how much you are worth in gold. The Sydney Olympic medals are also on display as well as the Australian Kangaroo One Tonne Gold Coin. Massive. Amazing experience. Well worth... More

There are very interesting tours available trough the mint. It is spectacular to see how the gold is transformed from the nugget to a gold bar and how it was developed over time. However, the most impressive thing is the biggest gold dollar coin ever.

This is a very important Royal Mint and has a great history. The tour guide is very well informed and you will be amazed to see gold poured to make an ingot! Touch the gold too! Plenty of photo opportunities outside but not in the museum, understandably. Take home a personalised coin from as little as AUD17. The coffee shop... More

Definitely enquire on tour times so that you get the maximum information and participate in the gold pouring demonstration. Very suitable for children. For history buffs it is the revelation that gold made W.A. and saw it grow from a small colony to the wealthy state it is today.many options to buy quality items from gift shop and also a... More

Visited with husband and two children age 8 and 11. The tour was informative and not so long that the kids lost interest. The best bit is the gold pour and the kids enjoyed trying to lift the gold bar. Worth the visit but you need to turn up or ring and check what tours are available as you can't... More

Took the Perth Mint Tour and was delighted at the hands on experience together with the real trip back in time by watching gold actually being melted and poured into mould. Tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable.

We visited the Perth Mint on a recent trip to Australia. We found it very interesting. Theres plenty opportunity to buy a momento of your visit, from gold bar fridge magnets to stunning jewellery! And get your own coin stamped and mounted in a necklace if you want! Would recommend a visit, but be sure to book as the tours... More

Took the kids here as a school holiday treat and they loved it! The tour was very informative and all the staff were so enthusiastic. I loved hearing about the history of the mint and the kids loved watching the gold being poured. Plus you can hold a gold bar, press your own coin for $2 and so much more.... More

$24.00 for a guided tour and devonshire tea was wonderful. Tour factual, fun and very interesting and an hour well spent.. Excellent 3D video to begin, the world's largest gold coin in our midst, live demonstration of a gold pour and historical coins on display was fabulous. Well priced cafe, high quality souvenirs and a wonderful chance to purchase coins.... More
