I think it is too expensive to have a short intro and selling some gold coins. Also the brochures did not state the prices and we only found out when we are there.

A great place to visit to kill an hour or so. Interesting talk on the history of gold in WA and a good demo of gold smelting inside. Worth a visit.

Visited the Mint for the third time and was excited to discover an addition to the displays. A mint employee - part actor, part story teller, part historian - regaled us with facts woven in to a mini play about the life and hardships of a gold prospector in the 'Gold Fever' days. He was brilliant - informative, funny and... More

Perth Mint is a walk back in history. I went here about 8 years and things havent changed, with the exception has a great little cafe inside that has fantastic inexpensive snacks and cuppas. The tour is short and not too much to stand and watch. its a good amount of time and interesting. Like coming here

Nice little tourist attraction.Good thing about this place is that its one of the only few places which are open on Sunday.Entrance 25 dollars is a bit steep provided its a semi-commercial place.God for an hour or two.

We live in Perth and get a lot of family and friends visit from the UK, one of our top 5 places to take them is the Perth mint, it appeals to all ages, rivalry between the kids to see who can lift the gold bar is fun to watch, the theatre room where the gold is poured is very... More

We visited the Perth mint on our recent holiday , and found it very interesting, it was our wedding anniversary so at the end we had made a silver coin to mark the occasion .

I liked the fact that then tried to warn us that there was no power in the building but the fact that it took so long for them to fix it, we left the place before we could see anything.

Unfortunately on the day that you visited the Mint there was a power outage on the whole block of East Perth (it was not just isolated to the Mint and beyond our control). Hopefully if you are in Perth again you will visit us as I am sure you would be impressed with the new Exhibition and Gold Pouring performance. More
