There's something about tours taken in Australia that I always find enjoyable. The people they use as guides or coach drivers always have a wonderful sense of humour and that wonderful laid back laconic ''Aussie'' humour about their delivery. Having recently returned from many similar tours in Europe I have found it very refreshing. ''Someone who enjoys what they are... More

The $10 tour is well worth it, the guide is very knowledgable, the gold pouring is fantastic to watch and the show room (with olympic medals and a gold bar to pick up) is very interesting. It was the perfect mix of information, visual aids and timing.

A really fun location with the right mix of history, practical demonstration of gold pouring and real bits of gold, some of them enourmous like the 1 tonne gold coin.

The tour of the Perth Mint was very informative. Our tour guide was full of interesting facts and information about the history of mining and gold in Australia. As well as the history of the mint here in Perth. Sure the highlight was the gold pour, but I really enjoyed myself more than I expected. If you live in Perth... More

Extremely interesting, we thorougly enjoyed it. You do need to pay for the tour to get the best from it though as you are very limited in what you see otherwise. Parking is not really easy, we parked in one of the Wilson parking stations then took the free Red Cat bus that stops near the mint. You can but... More

I did the tour when I was a lot younger, but I recently did it again in March. It's interesting to learn about the huge gold finds in Australia and the history of the mint. The displays and the vault are also interesting, but watching the gold being poured is awesome, and the guide did a really great job of... More

We visited Perth Mint by bus from Fremantle. The mint is located in the original colonial building on Hay Street – there is a Red CAT bus stop right outside. We took the guided tour (AUD38 for a family ticket) – you can’t see much without the guided tour. The tour gives you an overview of the gold rush in... More

Went once with friends, but thereafter I just dropped people off and picked them up afterwards as it wasn't worth going twice. Best part was the gold pour and trying to pick a piece of gold up which was surprisingly heavy
