This is a MUST SEE tour! The tour guide has authentic aborigiinal heritage and comes from a long line of guides dating back to the early 1800s where is great, great, great grandfather led new arrivals from Europe and taught them how to survive and thrive in Australia. Our guide pointed out lots of wild edible plants and demonstrated how... More

Well considered and interesting tour. Made fascinating links between then and now, made me question how different humans are. A must do for anyone visiting Perth. More

This walk is truly an incredible experience - to see and hear how our Australian native people loved and honoured the land and were totally at one with it. No need to go to the store or pharmacy for supplies of food and medicine - it was all there for them! The respect given to their natural surrounds was evident... More

I have attended the Kings Park Indigenous Heritage Tour on two separate occasions - once with Greg Nannup and the other time with Noel Nannup, his father. I very much enjoyed learning about Noongar history, the plants, the stories etc. It was such a lovely way to spend a couple of hours in the late afternoon, and it was an... More

We met with Greg for his Indigenous Heritage Tour of Kings Park within a few days of arriving and it really set the scene! There were just the two... More

Greg delivers a wonderful experience. He is extremely knowledgeable about his ancestry and the way of life before white settlement. He is able to give a glimpse into Aboriginal society in a time before colonisation. A society that lived and breathed the Swan River and it's surrounds. My time with Greg was like magic. I highly recommend this experience to... More

I work for a community agency and we arrange a monthly social group outing for clients. In September 2011, 15 of us went along to Kings Park to go on the Indigenous heritage tour. We met at 1pm and Greg Nannup, the son of a local elder, met us and we began our tour. Greg enthralled us with his stories... More

I went to the tour as part of a school excursion with students learning English. I have to say that I was quite impressed with the way in which the tour guide was patient with the students. We went through Kings Park and it was an adventure for our senses. We tasted, smelled, watched and listened "Indigenous-ism" and it tasted... More
